Wicked thank you yes I've had a lovely day. I've submerged myself in family stuff today which obviously has mostly been taking them and watching them play various sports. Match 1 I knew no one there really to talk to, so spent my time tweeting with an old Scottish friend which was lovely. Match 2 was fab as Mr C and I knew loads of people and it was very sociable watching. Plus they won against a very good team so very jolly trip home, plus we were invited to a hog roast tonight so no cooking. Woohoo.

Lovely to hear all the horsey stuff Muffin, I loooooove Friesians, I don't understand why they're thought of as a bit showy, I think they're just beautiful. What have you got??

I have a Welshxgypsy pony piebald show cob as my hunter and a beautifully bred black pure Welsh cob as my show/dressage horse. Friesians are purely a driven breed to my (fairly experienced driving) eye. Having seen them ridden, their head carriage is so high it's distracting. I just can't be brought around to them as a ridden breed

Mavis DS blethered about minecraft on our walk home from DP tonight. Country lane, pitch black, chattering on about zombies and walking skeletons. "But they're not real Mummy". I find "hmmm" and "uh-huh" has sufficed so far. And also "Really?" and "Ah..." with the occasional "oh dear..." seems to be sufficient interaction on my part
