And why did KH get to lead it? Was that BB's decision? They should have used someone getting no airtime like PK or K

I don't think she is being deliberately thick. I think she's too thick to do that.

How can you read and write if you don't know the alphabet?

isnt it that she knows what the letters are, and can therefore read and write, but doesnt know the order they come in the alphabet?

Liking Michelle less and less her 'my community' speech was cringe. Saw a clip on twitter with Kavanagh really getting angry and drunk with Keith and am surprised at how he was behaving esp as it never makes the edit which I think proves its the KH show

Ah, I get you. I am dyslexic and have broken the alphabet into four parts. If I need to know the sequence of letters I have to sing the song, though I know roughly now which block it comes in. When I was young I had to sing the whole song in my head, so progress.

Joan that's great that you've found a system. My stepfather is dyslexic and he is very good with certain things, but has to have a rhyme to remind him of the order he has to do things to get ready for bed, for example

I think maybe Alicia didn't come from a place where learning was encouraged and see no problem in her trying to catch up on certain things alongside her dc. She seems like someone who has seen the light quite late in life and is playing catch up. I know lots of people who work in the media who really are in a bubble and think she has been in the 'glamour' bubble way too long

Just catching up on both. I think KP comes across as guileless which is quite endearing but must be utterly mortiphying for the people she is talking about. I agree that the red catsuit woman in the BBOTS audience is quite distracting. Not in a good way

Did Alicia say she was going to home school her youngest because she had no money for her pre school/primary? Umm what about state schools?

Her dd would get her free 15 hours maybe her eldest had private education and Alicia doesn't know that state is actually fine.

I think most people would accept there is a difference between uneducated and thick.

But really to speak of "learning MY shapes" is thick and at her age. Who talks about MY shapes and MY alphabet let alone learning them as an adult? It's off the scale.

I can't actually believe she got upset about KH saying she was stupid. Mind you as they say, truth hurts.

Yes Alicia's ignorance about being ignorant is a bit scary to say the least. My DC's are far more clever than I ever was (they are adult now) but I just bullshit a lot and they indulge me and let me off . I wouldn't have dreamed of HEducating mine, they would have lost me at about age 6, and at least I admit to it!
