Couldn't see a new Eastenders thread, so I thought I'd start one. Apologies if this is a duplication.

Great to hear Christian could be coming back.

It was better than the Frank Butcher days for sure!

Lauren dropped a piece of paper with a big clue on it from Emma's file when she was taping them up. It went under the cupboard and it's still there, half sticking out. They obviously don't sweep the kitchen floor very often! Grin.

Mrsjayy · 03/02/2015 12:48

Yeah I noticed the bit of paper I said to dd oo there is a clue she said urm I didn't notice peter was an obvious distraction

Mrsjayy · 03/02/2015 12:50

Oh the lost finale was like an event wasnt it

DieselSpillages · 03/02/2015 13:00

The yellow paper has the phone number of the person Emma called to accuse them of murder. That floor hasn't been swept for a couple of weeks Grin

badRoly · 03/02/2015 13:15

Vashta I can't decide either. Today I'm thinking Denise only because no one else has mentioned her which suggests she's a duff choice Grin

I felt too old to enjoy Peter. It was a bit like watching the first Twilight film. I just felt like a dirty old woman (although I got over it for the 2nd and 3rd Twilight films Wink).

badRoly · 03/02/2015 13:17

Oh and things could quite feasibly be left on my kitchen floor for weeks.

I'm a dirty old woman in every sense Blush

AGnu · 03/02/2015 13:18

I've arranged to put the DC to bed round a friend's house so I can make sure I can watch it live! Blush

I don't think Shirley believes Dean. I think she's always had doubts niggling at her but had pushed them to one side to support her boy. She blatantly kicked Lola out to protect her from him! She also told him previously that innocent people don't run but now she's sending him away.

Mrsjayy · 03/02/2015 13:22

Yeah she was protecting Lola even if she did call her tarty Shock she doesn't want Dean in Prison and now wants him as far away as possible.

It's a hard one as I think they made it too obvious it was her but then all that's because all the clues point to her!

cogitosum · 03/02/2015 13:29

I think someone made the point on an earlier thread that whilst someone losing it and bashing someone over the head is conceivable, to then go about normal life without changing at all they would be an actual psychopath (sp)

Abi is the only one who has changed in a way that could be down to murdering someone.

Still going with earlier theory that Lucy did something awful that will be revealed - hence the 'it's still murder' comment.

Actually Jane has changed too so that could be an option.

aware it's not real

I don't think it's Abi anymore reading spoilers for next week on Digital spy,I think it is Peter, and have pretty much guessed how Lauren leaves..

Edited to add my precious twopennorth, which was missed from an update upthread

Fakebook · 03/02/2015 13:40

Peter did look a bit weird sitting in the pub waiting all day for her the day after she died didn't he? It's like he knew there was no point getting up and looking for her. He just sat there waiting and then Ian came and told him she'd died. Hmm! And he would have access to the music box too. And it kind of fits in with those spoiler pics. I'm wondering if it is Peter now!

AGnu · 03/02/2015 13:50

"BEER" - love it! Grin I might start a BEER to-do list. DH will get excited if he sees it... Maybe I can convince him it's a list of chores that he'll get beer for doing...

I have nothing to add on the topic of Peter's chest. I spent that entire scene shouting "She's pregnant with another man's baby" at the screen. I just can't get my head around her being pregnant & continuing to act as if she's in a relationship with some random bloke who someone's told her she has to pretend to be in love with! Confused I'm sure it must be really difficult for her to pretend he's attractive...

SoupDragon · 03/02/2015 13:56

Peter did a damn good job of acting shocked and devastated when Ian told him though.

AGnu · 03/02/2015 14:08

Do we know if the head injury she died from was separate to the Max-injury? Just wondering... Perhaps she met up with Peter to get the drugs & then saw Nick meeting up with the dealer - was he supposed to be dead by then? He could quite easily have shoved her & run away. Nick was my original theory... I may yet revert to it! Not sure how that would fit in with Emma's 'solving' the crime & the "you know" comment to Max.

SoupDragon · 03/02/2015 14:12

I don't think it can be Nick because Emma didn't know he was alive.

bookwormbeagle · 03/02/2015 14:20

I think it's Bobby with Jane helping to cover up (although I do occasionally think it's Denise and the drinking is a sign of her trying to cope with the guilt).

Not sure about the music box really, I'm a few episodes behind so need to put some hours in ready for the big reveal week!

cogitosum · 03/02/2015 15:12

QueenFuri could you link to the DS spoilers please?

AGnu · 03/02/2015 15:21

I'm wondering if Emma's suspect might have been Abi. Didn't Abi buy the cleaning products that she used to clean up the car lot? Maybe the "5 minutes" comment reminded her of Max walking the dog & leaving Abi alone. Emma could've met with Abi, Abi explained that Lucy fell & she was just worried about Max if it'd been internal bleeding that killed her. Emma says it's still murder, given that it happened because he was trying to stop her leaving. When they were all in the kitchen later it seemed like Emma was acting weird because of her head injury. Abi was keen to leave the room so she could talk to Max alone, Lauren refused to go. Maybe Abi had told Emma the truth & Emma wanted to talk to Max before she went to the police. That would explain the "you know" comment & still leave it open for someone else to be ultimately responsible.

I'm really not convinced that Emma had the right person but she did find someone who thought they were responsible.

QueenFuri · 03/02/2015 15:43

here

PeteCampbellsRecedingHairline · 03/02/2015 15:54

reading those spoilers is making me think it's Peter now.

FurryDogMother · 03/02/2015 16:00

I'm still going with Dean as the murderer, for no particular reason other than that he doesn't have an alibi, and he's a bad man (and I have a £3 bet on with Corals at 80:1!).

youarekiddingme · 03/02/2015 16:08

The shot of the shirt then got repeated later on as he picked it up and that yellow bit of papaer was there again - half under the worktops.
