Couldn't see a new Eastenders thread, so I thought I'd start one. Apologies if this is a duplication.

I quite disappointed that it's another abandoned baby. It's not too long ago that Ronnie found her adopted daughter (now deceased), and there always children from earlier Eastenders trysts (re-) appearing on the show. I don't quite actually believe this storyline as I thi k it's a bit far-fetched, although apparently there's going to be a twist in the story tomorrow.

I may be over thinking it but....

Tonight when Sharon came back from the prison, Jay (and Ben) came out of the front room and did a big sniff and wiped his nose. Had he been taking coke? Was he lucys dealer? Or knows who the dealer is?

Or did he just have a cold?

You4 I think you may be right about jay wiping his nose. It's a clue! He could have been the dealer! Not sure why they would have her purse and phone though if he was. She couldn't have died after taking dodgy drugs as we would have known that from that start.

Shabs secret is a bit of a letdown for me actually. I like her though and love her hair.

What in gods name is wrong with Shirley's hair!

I don't think jay was the dealer, because Peter openly admitted that he got Lucy's drugs from the dealer to stop her falling in with 'bad types'. I don't think he would see Jay as a threat, the same way he would a stranger.

They're making a big deal out of Linda eating apples and looking for apple juice, so if it's a girl, when it comes to naming her… they wouldn't, would they? Apple Carter - she could take over Peter's stall on the market!

Just watched yesterday's, did Shabnam say that it was "the first time"? Wth?! How many times has she dumped a baby on a doorstep? Also I couldn't understand a word she was saying through the weird rigid crying, thank goodness for subtitles.

"The first time" refers to having sex. Stacey said that everyone was entitled to make a mistake when talking to Shabnam about how she slept with Kush. Shabnam then broke down and said it wasn't the first time.

It was somewhat unclear though as the implication was almost that Kush wasn't only the second time either.

EE have posted on Facebook asking who people think the father of Shabnam's baby is. That suggests it's someone we know... According to wiki, Archie Mitchell started in the July before Shabs left. I'm betting Stacey wasn't the only one he raped. She could've secretly stayed in the country until the baby was born & then flown to Pakistan after abandoning it - would explain the English newspaper!

That's a good point. It must have been in England for it to have been in the newspaper, then maybe she went to Pakistan because she weighed more. She did say she ran to loose weight over there. Would the dad be someone we know? I doubt she was raped. I can't see them going down that route now with the Carter storyline still going.

Linda craved apples in her other pregnancies. It's how Mick thought she was pregnant this time around for because she was eating loads of apples again.

Yes, I thought it was a little OTT with rapes. Just looked it up & Sean was around at the same time - maybe Shabs is scared Stacey will hate her for secretly giving away her niece! That would've been while he was married to Roxy though & I thought he'd given up his womanising ways by then. Stacey & Bradley went through a rocky patch at some point after August 2008 but I don't think that was before Shabnam left. Deano was in prison around then, not sure when he got out.
The most shocking would be for it to be Bradley's baby. I can imagine Stacey wouldn't be too impressed by that. Not sure it's overly believable. I have always had a soft spot for Bradley though & tend to forget that he wasn't always sweet & pining for Stacey!
I've found a clip of old-Shabnam shouting at Zainab & she mentions Mickey. She was friends with Dawn too so may have slept with Mickey... Zainab also says "Fine, do your own thing, but don't come crying to me when you're left out in the cold." No wonder she didn't tell them!

Actually having watched the clip EE put on FB, I'm voting Dean. They have Stacey & Shabnam discussing Dean/Linda, Stacey changes the subject & asks about the baby's father & Shabnam hesitates before talking about him. Apparently he was so drunk he wouldn't remember.

I'm going to go get on with real life now! Grin

The first bit of the FB clip makes me think that Shabnam has or had a 'thing' for Dean but since she came back to Walford I don't recall anything I've seen suggesting this before.

Dean's probably leaving this year so I doubt it's him. I think it'll be a character who's got more mileage.
