Would a sherlock fan like 'whitechapel'

I've just watched all 3 serieses of sherlock on netflix over the last two weeks. The acting was brilliant, I loved the characters. I loved the british humour but it was thrown at the viewer so quickly. Other shows painstakingly give the audience time to get the joke but I loved the speed of Sherlock.

I also watched irish show love/hate on german netflix and thought that was really good too. So i like things that are a bit different. A bit weary of netflix usual offerings, ie, sick slick american dramas like suits. I watched the first few suits and it was good but i felt like I'd watched a thousand similar things.

I only have 2 series on Sherlock on Netflix; 6 episodes in total?

I watched them in 2 days Blush i am on mat leave though!

I would be interested to know if Whitechapel is worth a watch too.

Danish netflix has series three of sherlock.
I've watched one Whitechapel and I like it. I tried ripper street and hated that.

I don't have Netflix so not sure what's on there but the American take on Sherlock is quite good. Have you seen that? Elementary. Yer man who used to be married to the one with the lips is in it.

oh yes! I liked Elementary too. Only one series on netflix though. :-( Very American take on it, but I did like the twist that watson was a woman, and that they resisted the obvious temptation to put them in to bed.

I hear that actor stuart townsend is in series three, and there is not another human being alive that could possibly look more like johnny lee miller! So I am very curious to see if their resemblance is noted in the show.

I've seen all of them. Smile I shan't spoil it for you. It is very American and not a patch on Sherlock but for what it is, in isolation, it's pleasantly enjoyable. The casting of Mycroft is interesting and the Moriarty/Watson as women thing is quite refreshing.

I've just watched two episodes of The Following btw. I do NOT recommend it.

oh I gave up on that too. It could have been good, or should have been good, but it missed somehow. The idea sounds good. My brother told me what it was about and I thought 'oh that sounds really good'. But. No.

It would have made a good film. Couple of good actors but they didn't have the writers or the money behind them. Not enough plot or budget for a series. I was horribly disappointed.

I'm currently scrabbling around for something else to watch but nothing's grabbed me.

Yes, definitely, the story would have suited a film more than a whole series.

Have you watched the American Killing? It's excellent. I started with the danish killing but to my surprise, I think I nearly preferred the American version.
