Happy New Year tennis folks (and others of course, if there are any) :)

Getting very very excited to see Pot back in action, feel like a hyperactive child rather than a middle aged woman. He didn't make it to Brisbane so wasn't counting on Sydney but he's there. Look:

Raahh, I don't think you need to hide behind the cushion if you've turned the score off and can't see anything Grin

Not sure who I want to win this. Doesn't look like it's going to be Rafa unless he pulls his finger out.

Raahh · 10/05/2015 19:10

Rafa has to win.

Sad

vamos

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 10/05/2015 19:10

Awww. I don't think I've seen the one of him on the cushion before. He looks tiny there.

JuanPotatoTwo · 10/05/2015 19:10

Oh he's lovely. Looks very cheeky. Does he like tennis?!

OP posts:
Raahh · 10/05/2015 19:12

He likes tennis balls- including my prized Wimbledon ones, which i have now hiddenGrin

I am going to teach him to bark vamos

He's quite a bit bigger than the cushion now, but looks like a tiny rat when bathedGrin

DramaAlpaca · 10/05/2015 19:12

Cute puppy!

Juan I've been low-carbing for six weeks now. I look & feel thinner but I think the scales are telling lies. I keep losing & gaining the same couple of pounds Angry. I'm starting the MN Bootcamp tomorrow, so that will hopefully sort me out.

JuanPotatoTwo · 10/05/2015 19:19

Scales are very untrustworthy articles :) If you look and feel thinner that's got to be good. Keep at it - I started in January. Lost quite a lot in first 3 weeks, then like you spent weeks (literally weeks, actually probably more like 2 months) gaining and losing the same couple of pounds, but am steadily losing again now. So worth sticking at it. Good luck.

Mini schnauzer is gorgeous. Eclair was also v nice. If it makes you feel better Drama I don't eat cake as a rule, my body is a temple Wink and I need to drop 5lbs in my quest for a 55 min 10k, so that eclair will be last for a while.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 10/05/2015 19:23

Scales are definitely not to be trusted. They are not your friend, especially if you look thinner.

Who knew Murray could play on clay. If he beats Rafa here that has to give him a bit of confidence for the French.

DramaAlpaca · 10/05/2015 19:24

Thanks, that's good to know. I've been getting a bit disillusioned in the last few days. I feel much healthier though, which has to be good.

carabos, glad you enjoyed your eclair, & good luck with the 10k.

Murray is bossing Nadal. It's a sight to behold.

Raahh · 10/05/2015 19:26

I have put on loads of weight since starting beta blockers for my migraines. I am, of course, thrilled with the lack of migraines (and lower blood pressure), but not so thrilled with the stone weight gain since I was hospitalised in October. Sad

ignores tennis

Tennis
JuanPotatoTwo · 10/05/2015 19:31

4-1 to Andy. Marriage is having a beneficial effect on his game :)

Raahh, didn't realise you'd been hospitalised. Glad the beta blockers are helping.

carabos · 10/05/2015 19:31

I'm watching live scores as I don't have Sky. If it's possible to watch live scores from behind the sofa, that's what I'm doing. Andy is my favourite and Rafa my reserve favourite, so this is a toughie!

Raahh · 10/05/2015 19:33

Juan- it was a pretty bad attack, but yes, the drugs are helping. Apart from the weight. Grin

Raahh · 10/05/2015 19:34

Last year, at RG, was the first time I'd seen Murray look comfortable on clay. I approve of the facial hair.

I still cannot bring myself to be a fan, though Grin

Raahh · 10/05/2015 19:37

Rafa really, really needs to look to his coaching team. If he cannot get the results on 'his' surface, it doesn't bode well for the rest of the year. Uncle Toni needs to go- and Rafa needs to talk through his issues.

I'm available. Grin

DramaAlpaca · 10/05/2015 19:37

carabos same here. I'm for Rafa all the way, unless he's playing Andy.

Raahh glad the meds are helping, didn't realise you'd been in hospital either.

JuanPotatoTwo · 10/05/2015 19:39

So if Rafa goes down to no 7 that will be the first time in 10 years he's not in the top 5. That's quite something.

OP posts:
JuanPotatoTwo · 10/05/2015 19:41

I don't think Toni will go though. Although if you submit your cv Raahh who knows?

OP posts:
Raahh · 10/05/2015 19:44

Juan- it will be bad ranking wise- and as RG don't adjust seedings based on performance (like Wimbledon), his draw there could be horrendous.

Although at the moment there is no guarantee he will win against anyone Sad

I like Menorca...

Raahh · 10/05/2015 19:46

Or even MallorcaGrin

I've never been to Menorca.Grin

JuanPotatoTwo · 10/05/2015 19:46

Hes done it. Get your cushion out Raahh :(

OP posts:
Raahh · 10/05/2015 19:47

oh well..Sad

JuanPotatoTwo · 10/05/2015 19:48

Andy's been reading the thread - he just wrote "marriage works" on the camera!

OP posts:
DramaAlpaca · 10/05/2015 19:48

That was some performance by Andy. Well impressed.

Will Rafa really go down to No 7? That's not good. Things are clearly not going well in the Rafa camp Sad
