Happy New Year tennis folks (and others of course, if there are any) :)

Getting very very excited to see Pot back in action, feel like a hyperactive child rather than a middle aged woman. He didn't make it to Brisbane so wasn't counting on Sydney but he's there. Look:

Mama Grin true!- And I'm not too sure how his next round seems trickier- certainly than Djok's.

Hopefully Djok will get a bug before they meet in the semi's . But Rafa has to potentially get past both isner and Ferrer to get there- and Ferrer had a good record against him last year.

Well, I feared Isner would be a tricky opponent- and he was. Good win though.

Fed out though.

Rafa needs to go up the rankings a bit to get a favourable draw at RG- although he still risks meeting Djok before the final, since he's not going to get higher than 3rd. Much as the Djok/Rafa semi in 2013 was one of the matches of the year- my nerves can't take a repeat of it, thanks GrinTennis

It's definitely the tougher QF- although Raonic on form would have given Berdy a match, I reckon.

Thank goodness for that Smile but Rafa made that far more difficult than it needed to be. He got a time violation and just seemed to lose concentration in the second.....if he does that against Djokovic he'll have lost before he gets a grip again.
Much as I like ferrer I think Rafa really needed that win, winning tomorrow would be even better tho Smile

I didn't see any other match but the Scorelines suggest they were disappointing, I thought monfils v Grigor would have been much closer. Team monfils for v berdych tomorrow.

Well that didn't go the way I wanted :( I didn't see the matches but Rafa looked almost distracted again in the highlights and where on earth did monfils go? Cause he sure wasn't on the tennis court.
Oh well at least ds1 is happy Djokovic won. Smile
