I appreciate all the work his family has done for rare breeds in this country.
He never seems smug to me...just very passionate and interested in farming and his animals.

Ha, ha. DH can't stand him either mainly because he never appears to do any 'farming' himself. He's clearly not alone .

...and by the way ADAM , silage is not pickled, it's fermented - so there. He probably thinks the city dwelling peasants don't understand fermented, so had to choose an easy word

And where does he get the money from to keep all these rare breeds and buy brand new expensive machinery ? Thought he was a tenant farmer - the one I've met seem to work all the hours god sends for very little financial reward !

According to Wikipedia, he got the job when Countryfile ran a presenter search, so he must have some talent...

I don't mind the well connected Mr Henson, actually.

He is popular, and I really ought to like him, he's done some good work in preserving rare breeds....I just can't - irrational.

Always thought he was very patronising. Really don't like him or his delivery.
