Lyndie YY Treville is being a bit whipped dog this series so far, but then he is well in the royal bad books so probably best keep his head down...

Lyndie I think because he has hamstrung himself by turning down the job offer at the beginning of the first episode. He knows he doesn't have the King's trust in the same way that he did, and there is no Cardinal to shield him when he says unpopular but necessary things - which he did, for all that the two had a rivalry. The King is a complete loose cannon without Richelieu, and there would be no-one to support Treville if the King decided to have him demoted/court marshalled or whatever.

In the trailer for next week, did I see Rochefort getting some woman to pretend to be Queenie saying she didn't love the King? We had to rewind because it was dark & we couldn't see the face first time, but were fairly sure it was her voice. Rewatching, it definitely wasn't Queenie, cue awkward moment with DD. Please tell me Rochefort doesn't have a sex scene next week when he pays a woman to pretend to be the Queen? I can deal with straightforward snogging scenes when watching with her, but fucked-up role playing? Beyond my powers of explanation
