It's true car crash TV and I can't take my eyes away

Watched the British version over Christmas with Jennifer Ellison too. Irritating but she was the poor man's Abby Lee

Oh I didn't know there was a UK version.

I wish I could work out AL. One minute I feel quite fond of her and then want to strangle her.

I wish Mackenzie got more screen time. She's very sweet and reminds me of my dd.

I'm hooked. Watch it obsessively with DD (13). She has told me that watching it makes her realise that I am a good mother!
AL is dreadful in a mesmerising and shameless way. The girls are so nice and normal compared to everyone else.

According to AL's book soooo much of the show is scripted. Doesn't stop us enjoying it though!

My girls were devastated when they discovered ALDC came to our city last yr. For just £100 each you got a tee shirt and photo with AL and a group shot with Madddie, McKenzie, Nia and. Kendal. Think there might have been a dance class too

Watched Maddie in that Sia video. I thought she was amazing. She doesn't always come across like that when she has solos. I know dance styles are different

I think Maddie is gorgeous. Despite all the favouritism she gets from AL, she seems like a very caring girl.

I got hooked from the dc. I used to get cross at first querying why they wanted to watch a woman bully kids. Then I saw the dancing.

We love Dance Moms. One of my guilty pleasures.

I confess that I enjoyed the book, Boule. Though she couldn't resist making little digs about Kelly and her children throughout. Typically Abby, though.

The ALDC tickets sold out here within the hour, apparently!

The UK version is so dreadful. I haven't watched the whole series, so don't know if it improved at all

Apparently JoJo is going to become a team member. She's grown on me. I don't feel it's the same without Chloe :(

Love this show and love Abby.

Tbh Hollywood will be like kittens to them by the end. Couldn't stand Chloe, Brooke and Paige or their mums did nothing but moan and bitch , storm out, slag her off then return for next weeks episode if you can afford the $50,000 she charges you can afford to pay it to cancel imo

Maddie is also a lovely girl - very modest in spite of her amazing talent. Sometimes Melissa comes across as quite cold towards the girls which is sad.

I miss Chloe too.
I reckon Nia and Holly will leave at the end of this season

It's strange how now that Chloe has gone, Holly's relationship with Abi has worsened substantially. I wonder if there is any truth in the possibility that it's scripted and there have to be rows? I watch it mainly to see the dancers because they are amazing. Also Nia is very sulky these days - probably her age but also I wonder what we don't see? I thought it was very mean of her to say to JoJo, 'you take opportunities away from people who've been here longer'.

It got worse for kristi when kelly left, I imagine their has to be arguments for the entertainment aspect of the show.

I don't get why they encourage other mums to argue with Abby so they can sit in the box and watch it's like a new mum ritual

The original girls come across really well. Abby came across even worse than she usually does during the LA trip. Maybe she needs to get a new version of Broadway Baby!

I don't think Nia is sulky - I think she is biting her tongue! She is an intelligent and articulate young lady and has probably had enough of Abby's blatant favouritism. And she can actually sing, unlike Mac and Brooke.

Maddy is getting lots of opportunities through the show and I don't believe they have anything to do with Abby, but with the collective fame of the show. Also, Melissa withdrew her children from school and their attendance at the studio makes it seem like dance is the main focus. But the bubble might burst at any time and having a sound education in things other than dance is something everyone needs, even if they have been in a couple of videos with Sia.
