Dont know who is going to replace him though

I think Michael Aspel would be good

WelshBorisKarloff · 11/10/2006 08:48

Not that a young hip girl like me watches Countdown

WelshBorisKarloff · 11/10/2006 08:49

Or knows who Michael Aspel is for that matter

CheesyFeetcomingtoGETyou · 11/10/2006 09:37

Apparently Eamonn Holmes is in the running

CheesyFeetcomingtoGETyou · 11/10/2006 09:38

(I have no idea who Michael Aspel is either WB )

GhoulsToo · 11/10/2006 09:41

hasn't Eamonn got a new meeja career in the US?

Apparently Mr Deayton's name has also been mentioned.

Has he? I dunno, I don't pay all that much attention to such things.

Angus Deayton, hmmm, he has probably served his time in the telly wilderness I suppose. He was spotted on the beeb recently (can't remember what in) so they have probably forgiven him. Channel 4 probably don't give a monkey's arse about his sordid past anyway.

JT, the date on that piece you linked to is Sept 30

I loved Dezzy - thought no-one could replace Richard Whitely but he did a good job imo
