Until I watched You're Fired I didn't realise that Mark was the lowest performer in terms of being on the winning team.
I know that's not everything, and that he has skills - he's very good at pitching and selling. But those skills also contribute to the other things he's good at - talking himself up and talking other people down.
He's fast on his feet and good at manipulating situations. He leaves the others standing there and if anyone does pick it up, they come across as whiny.
The dating game was his idea and he pushed for it. True, he spoke against it after the market research trashed it, but at that point it was too late to go back to the drawing board. It was a gift to him that Pamela ran with the idea because he could then blame it on her.
He wanted Lauren close to him, all the better to knife her. All the time they were in NYC he was sharing jokes with her - like when she made a crack about Felipe being no Scorsese. But then, as Daniel and later Dara said, as soon as Sugar makes a hint of criticism of rivals, he's in there.
He's the sort of person I dread working with. It's exhausting, you have to watch your back all the time, and of course you can't watch out for the times he chats with someone or sends an email about you when you're not around.
I would not have him on my team or as a business partner, because you cannot trust him.
