It finished last night been checking over the past 8 weeks and no sign of thread on mn does nobody else like it ? We love it but sad to see series end.
So whats your opinion a good series ? Will there be another one ?

Have found it less entertaining with each series. This series we dipped in and out of, whereas the first one we didn't miss an episode. Saw last nights, thought that was good.

The series does seem to have gone quite quickly I hope there is another series but going against apprentice the figures are likely to be low and sally wainwright must be busy with happy valley, last tango in Halifax

It has been one of my favorite shows. Really good, female led drama, with strong performances from the three leads. I particularly like Amelia Bullmore's character and portrayal and, despite the excellent Lesley Sharp and Surname Jones, it will never be the same for me without her. I wonder if she will continue to write it?

Surname! You know who I mean, even if autocorrect doesn't.

I'm not sure if there is any point in it without Jill.

Wonder if there will be anymore?

Janet decided to see Chris(?),Rachel maybe back with Will, Rachel a sergeant & Janet off for an interview.

The guy playing Sandy was in The Full Monty with Lesley Sharpe!

I agree seems all wrapped up and no point without Gill, I have taken to her style of speaking in meetings, it's amazing how much you get done ! Great female characters and makes me a little bit homesick watching it - boo!

I didn't like this series so much. The crimes were solved too easily and too quickly. I hated Jill- she seemed wooden and with a limited range of behaviour. Never came over as authentic for me and wondered if this was the role, the script or the actor.

It's very much like Cagney and lacey if anyone's old enough to recall that- the 2 female leads discuss their love lives and work cases in the ladies!

LOVED this series much more than the second. I thought it was amazing. The final episode was gripping and the actress who played the farmer's wife was incredible! Very sad it's finished

I enjoyed it too, even if this is wrapped up now I would live something else from the same team

I love this programme, but agree some of the cases have seemed rushed this series.
I prefer it when a case is investigated over two or more episodes like the last one. Which was written by Amelia Bullmore, who plays the wonderful Jill, a.k.a 'Godzilla'
I like all the characters in the show actually, very believable, very well written and acted.

I have watched all of it but blinking tv stopped recording before it had finished. I saw some of the speech in the pub at the leaving do - did I miss anything else?

It's on itv player, Fab- you should try to catch the end, it was good.

I watched it for the first time today- typical of me to find something I really like just as it's finished!

I particularly like the can of whup-ass Suranne Jones opened on the drunk

I really loved this series. So refreshing to see great female characters.

Love this programme and the dynamics between the female characters, really going to miss this on a Wednesday evening.

This is probably my favourite detective series and I really hope it continues. In addition to the three main characters I like Superintendent Dodson (not sure if I've got her rank right). I would have thought it could come back, bringing in a new syndicate chief could bring a new dynamic.

Loved it... S and B and a sneaky mid week glass of wine.

Episodes 7 and 8 were brill.

Brilliant series. I thought this was better than the last series. Great acting. Love Lesley Sharpe especially.

Preferred earlier series I must say, more going on in their private lives(sometimes I fast-forward the actual cases in particular the gory or sensationalist ones).

It seemed to end very abruptly though ...

But I think it will be back at some point, which will be good, though I'm not quite as thrilled as I once was, it used to be the highlight of my week.

I saved up this series to watch on the plane and was hooked - back to back.
Has clashed with apprentice which I have to watch live with the MN thread.
