Just watched them back to back. Bloody fantastic but, what was with the ending? When was it originally shown?

Terrifying wasn't it! I don't know why they ended it like that as it clearly wasn't finished. Series two has already been made I think.

Onedropoflove · 28/10/2014 01:31

So will it be a different story or the same one?

was the ending the serial killer man running down the street?

didn't he move to Scotland cos he realised the police woman was onto him? - I can't really remember now...

I hope the next series carries it on and finishes properly!

Cocolepew · 28/10/2014 19:40

New series starts 13 nov.

Onedropoflove · 28/10/2014 19:47

I think we are getting them all mixed up!

Didn't it end with them driving off? I thought the end was bad, actually - why would she just agree to drive off and leave her job and house etc?

Cocolepew · 29/10/2014 17:06

I thought you saw them packing up and driving off, then after the credits(?), Paul was running across a bridge which, when the camera panned out, showed him to be in Scotland.

Onedropoflove · 29/10/2014 17:55

Bloody hell my mate was talking to me telling me that I would hate the ending. Last I saw scully was profiling the murdering in the meantime we see him fixated on the architect and updating his scrap book. Then my friend told me that was the end Confused

I'm confused now. Are u saying the wife knew?

PuppyMummy · 30/10/2014 14:51

I cant remember but no, I don't think the wife knew. just the police woman. he persuaded the wife to move because he knew the police woman was onto him.
(I think!!)

TheReturnoftheSmartArse · 31/10/2014 13:03

How many episodes were there? I've just watched 3 back to back and can't find anymore, but it certainly didn't end with anyone packing up, driving off, running down the street or whatever?!

HouseofEliot · 31/10/2014 13:53

There are 5 in all the last two are on Sunday night on BBC2.

TheReturnoftheSmartArse · 31/10/2014 16:29

Perhaps I'm watching the wrong series then - not the one everyone on here is talking about! Never mind - I shall look up any others. Thanks, House!

ThursdayOfTheLivingDead · 31/10/2014 16:33

The BBC doesn't always release all episodes at once, so you may find you're not all the way at the end?

I thought the ending was a bit shit - but it had to be slightly anticlimactic to leave room for a second series.

diddl · 01/11/2014 07:44

I assumed it was to pave the way for another series.

But sadly it's also true to life isn't it?

not everyone gets caught?

rootypig · 01/11/2014 07:47

I haven't watched since last year, but I felt that the wife knew, on some level, that something was very off, and was burying her head in the sand in order to save her family. Though I don't know if she'd suspect he was a serial killer, so much as cheating or some such.

God, can you imagine if she had a MN thread Grin

Oblomov · 01/11/2014 07:51

can't wait for series 2 to start. Nov 13th you say?

ThursdayOfTheLivingDead · 01/11/2014 07:54

He 'admitted' to cheating with the babysitter - to get his wife to provide an alibi.
But wife is pg, sticking her head in the sand is exactly what she's doing.

Arkkorox · 01/11/2014 07:56

At the time it was being shown I think there was a real life murder investigation that wasn't too far off the lines of the show, I think they canceled it out of respect and they're now showing the whole thing
