I'm watching but I'm a bit behind (on tivo).

What's it about this week?

Assault. The guy on it is a smug little prick.

He said, regarding a police officer something like, "She would believe him, she's a woman". The officer's colleague said something like, "I'm not going to comment on that buddy".

Would that be fairly normal? Would it be the same if he'd said something like, "He would believe him, he's Asian"?

I can see the point in keeping the peace, but I'd also expect a bit of collegial support.

If that was my colleague I would be really pissed off, but they must meet sooooo many wankers everyday and I wouldn't want to antagonize them anymore.

I see what you mean but I think the desk sergeant didn't want to stir things up any more but made his point in regard to the female officer by the way he spoke to her with respect and listened carefully and pointedly to her replies when asking the booking in questions.

I'm really going to miss this programme, excellent series.

I think there are quite a few to go - some are being shown next year. :)
