Confused

He seems a nice enough chap, but.....all the hormones gushing at the sound of his name on here - I just don't get it.

MegCleary · 25/10/2014 18:04

Bliss

Spooklingbrook · 25/10/2014 18:05

Me neither. But I heart Gareth Malone and James Martin. Grin

CarpeJugulum · 25/10/2014 18:05

I have it taped. I have relatives staying so can't see it for a bit. Angry

stareatthetvscreen · 25/10/2014 18:06

bliss.exactly.

TheSpottedZebra · 25/10/2014 18:07

I was never an an obsessive, but I did think him very attractive.
But God he loves himself, doesn't he? And he really seems to think he's some kind of genius, but he is mistaking wittering on for intelligence. He's believed his own hype, and lost his appeal, IMHO.

MegCleary · 25/10/2014 18:12

I cannot recall where in the interview he proclaimed his intelligence, he demonstrated he needed to be taught how to say penguin and a self deprecating story re stiffies.

DrElizabethPlimpton · 25/10/2014 18:25

I didn't really 'get' the BC hype, but I saw him last night and have to say he was rather yummy.

Ujjayi · 25/10/2014 18:36

He's a good actor. However, He looks like Tin-Tin. And I think the self-deprecating comments are an affectation rather then genuine.

TheSpottedZebra · 25/10/2014 18:41

Er Meg, you sound quite defensive of him there!
My comment re his intelligence doesn't relate to gn, it's from other things. There was a recent interview for the Alan Turing film where he yammered on about his maths ability and how he found himself understanding complex quadratic equations, and he just sounded a massive twat. That is the example that is most fresh in my mind.

MegCleary · 25/10/2014 18:49

I was defending as I seen nothing you mentioned in last nights show. But as you are bringing in other interviews that's entirely up to you as all the world entitled to their own opinion.

streakybacon · 27/10/2014 07:01

I recently read a comment by one of BC's actor chums (may have been Dan Stevens), who was talking about all the hyper-intelligent characters BC has played. Sherlock, Hawking, Turing ... He said it goes to show what a great actor he is because in real life he's as thick as shit Grin.

Bewooohooove · 27/10/2014 10:25

Tbh it isn't his brains that first attracted me Blush
