Just watched the first episode and yes it felt a bit staged. But still interesting.
Must admit I hoiked my judging pants up at the family who eat large greasy fry ups 3 times a week but then have had liquid meal replacements for lunch and have been doing it for 5 years!

Really enjoying this show, the old couple are so sweet

SuchSweetSorrow · 14/10/2014 20:35

oh yes I love the old couple!

Optimist1 · 14/10/2014 21:00

I've watched both episodes, but am disappointed that I don't like many of them - the old couple and the Indian family are really the only ones I feel positive about. Someone's described it as a version of Gogglebox (which I love), but I have lots of favourites on that.

LittleBairn · 14/10/2014 21:12

The Indian daughter made me laugh when her dad asked why there wasn't a parentline like childlike and she quickly retorted "there is its called help the aged" Grin

Quite enjoyed this last night. Think I'm just naturally nosey really. The family that gave the kids homemade burgers as they got in from school, do you think they had dinner later? My lot would be chewing on their knuckles by 6pm if that's all I fed them!!!

LemonBreeland · 14/10/2014 21:46

I can't the daughter of the single Mum. She sounds so much like she is acting. Also the flat share blokes seem very staged. I really don't like the living the good life husband, but the rest of his family seem nice. Actually most of the families are dicks. I do like the old couple and the Indian family. I wonder if I will get to like them after a while.

groovylucy · 14/10/2014 21:53

I like the Indian family too, agree about the daughter of the single mum, she acts like her lil brother mother , and she seems to think thats she's really mature and seems full of herself.

SuchSweetSorrow · 15/10/2014 07:03

I also really like the Indian family- the dad is just lovely and has a great sense of humour. Them and the old couple are the highlights for me

LightastheBreeze · 15/10/2014 08:31

I do like the old couple and feel they are quite typical of their generation. I also like the three young men sharing the house.

SqueezyCheeseWeasel · 15/10/2014 08:39

I agree, the Indian family and the old couple are the only thing worth watching on it. The rest are just hamming it up for the cameras.

SqueezyCheeseWeasel · 15/10/2014 08:39

I do think that most of the food looks revolting though

TheDietStartsTomorrow · 16/10/2014 22:23

Haven't seen this weeks episode but last week the mum with the DD who wouldn't eat the smelly fish really got up my nerves. It was so obvious she was faking so much so she could put s good front on for the cameras. Her children are obviously not as well mannered as she'd like us to believe. Frisbees on heads was just pure daft.

Honeezreturn · 18/10/2014 16:35

That dad making the burgers is a bit of a knob is he not?

Tidypidy · 18/10/2014 16:44

I like the Welsh family. They remind me of growing up in Wales. Also like the Indian family where they don't take themselves too seriously.

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 19/10/2014 13:04

I'm watching too. I did laugh at the family with the lawyer dad and three children, when they were talking about how naughty she'd been at school as she tried to stop them whilst laughing through gritted teeth Grin

I judged the fact none of the children seemed to have brushed hair before school (except the little welsh girl I think).

I feel ver

... Very sorry for the exchange student coming into the six-plant-named-children house next week!

SweetPeaPods · 20/10/2014 21:08

Watching for the first time tonight. Why did she pour hot oil from the sausages in the bin?
