No, total surprise!! Think the series took a while to warm up and almost gave up on it but loved the finale.

I struggled as couldn't take to Jacob.
I wish they hadn't left us hanging like that

I gave up on it 2 weeks ago but now I'm wondering if I should've stuck with it ? Did something exciting eventually happen?

So - did he survive the flood that killed his parents and sister, or did he Return years ago and doesn't remember?

I presume he returned ago as a baby. he didn't seem to recognise his parents
