Omg omg !

I loved this show so much - such an incredible series. Yes it was weird and cyclical - but the weird narrative was part of its incredible power

So, who will be watching?

Meee! Grin

I am so excited for this! Weirdly, I'd just got my old series 1 boxset out of the loft a day or so before they announced this - must have known!

Was it at the end of the quite mad series 2, or the end of the film where Laura Palmer told Dale Cooper she'd see him in 25 years.. now 25 years later it's back, the longest cliffhanger in tv history I think! Smile

I really wish I followed David Lynch on twitter because if I'd seen his tweet ("that gum you like is coming back in style") I would have wet myself with excitement

Yes, weird but brilliant. Loved the music too. Caught an old episode on SyFy and hearing the music just took me right back. And made me feel incredibly old Grin

WeAreGroot · 06/10/2014 23:16

I squealed when I saw David Lynch's cryptic tweet the other day and shrieked when I saw the news today Grin

I was a bit too young to watch it first time round so I'm very excited at the prospect of being able to watch it as it airs!

Ah some fellow fans :-)

Am going to obsess from now until it starts. Going to buy the box set of the original series to get me started

And yes, Laura Palmer does tell Dale she'll see him in 25 years

Woooo!

Just to add another wooo! Smile

Just watched the episode with Gordon Cole, loved him! Kind of reminds me how I talk to people at the end of a hard day at work - loud, and making no sense whatsoever Grin

Anyone have any favourite character(s)? Loved Gordon of course, the first time I watched it I wanted to be Audrey, and Dale Cooper is just randomly weird! It is still an ambition of mine to introduce any work proposal to my boss with his "tibet dream" speech..

"By way of explaining what we are about to do, I am first going to tell you a little bit about the country called Tibet.."

So much to love!

Hurrah!

My favourite TV wietdness of all time.

DAMN fine!

NotCitrus · 08/10/2014 09:40

Hurry! one of my favourite soundtracks, too.
Though that means it's over 20 years since I watched the film with a guy who had never seen the series and then organised a TP weekend where a crowd of us watched the whole thing. With plenty of cherry pie, donuts, and damn fine coffee...

NotCitrus · 08/10/2014 09:40

Hurray not hurry...

rubyslippers · 08/10/2014 10:47

I loved the log lady and then Nadine and her super human strength

Gordon Cole was fab and I hope they bring him back

So much to enjoy

Plus Chris Isaak's character from the film

Oh and the soundtrack - wonderful. I hope the score is written by the same guy again

At the time it seemed head and shoulders above anything else, curious to see what the new series will be like. 25 years' ago oh that makes me feel old!!

TheLogLady · 08/10/2014 15:17

I may need to resurrect an apt name.

ArabellaStrange · 12/01/2015 22:14

More Twin Peaks?

Wow, this must be some kind of history in the making type thing.
I look forward to watching it!

emmelinelucas · 13/01/2015 02:06

WOW !!!
My favourite series ever.
I look forward to talking about it with you all. Not when it's actually on, obvs because I will be mesmerised.
It was so, so brilliant and like nothing else I had ever seen.

SandraWood · 13/01/2015 11:07

It is happening again.
