I saw the live stage show of this, different evening though.

I have some ideas how he did some of the stuff but not all of it.

Me! I think he is really clever, I love it when he does the clairvoyant stuff

LightastheBreeze · 22/09/2014 21:24

I am. I saw him a few years ago and he done the hypnotising thing and it didn't work on me thank goodness, but it did on some people around me like on the TV just now.

When he gets people on the stage and they all have to write stuff on a bit of paper and put it in a bowl I was one of the people on the stage.

They might not show it on TV butif you look carefully not everyone's paper gets put in the bowl. It was done before the interval and I think he sneakily spent the interval memorising stuff. He never picked any paper out the bowl the night I was there.

I like to believe that he is magic, I don't like to find out how he does stuff. Grin He is obviously super smart at least

I saw the end.

The peeps on stage looked like very stereotypical drama students (I used to be one). Noticed they were all a similar age too.

VivaLeBeaver · 23/09/2014 00:03

No the people on stage were random audience members.....I was one. They asked for people from the audience to volunteer at the interval to go on stage for the second half. It was kind of first come first served, but if you were in the upper circle/balcony you could jump the queue a bit as they wanted a mix of people from different areas of the audience (not sure why).

I was a queue jumper from the balcony so they weren't shoving stooges to the front.

I've never seen him live but I'm quite a big fan and have watched most of his shows on TV. I know how he does some things but tonight I was baffled. Problem is I usually spend the whole programme trying to work out how he does it instead of just enjoying it.

Did anyone see the Simon peg one he did a while back?

VirtualPointyHat · 23/09/2014 10:20

I saw him live last year, I am a massive skeptic, and clearly, as he himself is at pains to point out he is not "magic" or clairvoyant.

But I have no idea how he does it!

Have just started another thread so that anyone who feels like sharing their thoughts on how DB does things, especially in live shows, can do so without spoiling the mystery for others...
