Help me decide which series to watch next

I've been binge-watching David Boreanaz shows since ds2 was born. It just happened. I started with a re watch of Buffy and angel in the hazy days of endless breastfeeding. Love joss whedon. Anyway when deciding what to watch next got hooked on Bones. Which I've really enjoyed.

Now I'm at the end of bones season 9 and I need a new show. Considering criminal minds. Requirement is it has to be American. I love my American shows.

What's suitably mindless but enjoyably engaging? I've really enjoyed all the JJ Abrams shows, breaking bad, orange is the new black, true detective, the killing if that helps...

Bates motel. The first season is on Netflix. I really enjoyed that.

Did you ever watch Alias? There's The Walking Dead, Castle, Grimm. I know it's a teen programme but Veronica Mars was brilliant (the first 2 seasons anyway). If you're a Buffy fan look out for Cordelia, Willow and Joss himself in it. He was a big fan.

Excellent fairylea, thanks, will get that off Netflix straight away. Sounds creepy. Might have to watch it with dh. So I still need something I can watch alone.

Speaking of Netflix I also loved House of Cards.

Been a million years since I've seen Veronica mars. Is it worth rewatch ing? Always gets mentioned on Buffy threads.

We gave up on castle after about 3 seasons, just forgot to keep watching it. That's a good idea to follow Buffy and Bones links.

Thenightisdark I tried to rewatch the wire when they showed it on Atlantic last year I think. It's just too dated now. It was great at the time & I love mcnulty!

Alias does end a bit randomly and I got a bit pissed off that Vaughn got married. It didn't seem plausible but I do tend to watch it all again every now and again.

I've just watched VM again this summer (as I wanted to watch it all again before the film - I can't help being a sad act!). I got stuck half way through the 3rd season but the first 2 are good.

Have you watched Firefly or Dollhouse?

Yes to firefly and dollhouse. I rewatch serenity because it's brilliant but I think I've only watched firefly once, ok maybe twice, due to it being so sad that it just ends as you get into it.

I will never rewatch dollhouse as the ending is a travesty. Only whedon I've not seen is agents of SHIELD. Perhaps I will try it but it hasn't been picked up again so not really worth it.

Adding VM to list

I've just watched Firefly again as it has just been on Syfy. I've just got Serenity to watch again when I get a chance. I don't think I'll watch Dollhouse again even though I enjoyed it the first time around.

The Grimm one I mentioned above was produced by David Greenwalt. It's not bad and has some decent twists. I also watch something called Haven which is a bit strange too. I don't think I would buy the box sets though but that's because they're usually repeated every so often.

I've been watching Criminal Minds and it's brilliant.

The Walking Dead has to be one of the best series of the last few years, well worth getting into IMO.

I watch far too much TV - especially American stuff. Whether it's crap or not! Love Bones. Love murder mystery cos shows! Rizzoli and Isles, the Mentalist, Castle, the Glades, Blacklist, the Following, Criminal Minds, CSI, Unforgettable, and for the lighter options - Suits, Leverage, White Collar, the Middle, Modern Family.......my god, I need to get a life

Criminal Minds is excellent, I definitely recommend it.

Have you done Prison Break and 24?

Sons of Anarchy is brilliant, as is Justified. Ooh and The Shield is one of my favourite ever progs.

Not on Netflix but am currently bingeing on the wondrous Southland

I've just watched 2 episodes of The Leftovers and am recording Legends and The Last Ship all on Sky Atlantic. The Leftovers is brilliant.

Criminal minds is brilliant, especially the earlier series which are a bit more grisly and stars Mandy Patinkin.

Also The Following, it's by the same producers who made the Scream movies, stars Kevin Bacon and scares me silly.
