I had been thinking a new series was due about now. Missed the first half hour but sky+ now set for the series.

I'm watching it now. I'm not sure I like this stage - I'm finding the crowd a bit cringey. Love the show in general though and yes, george is looking v svelt!

I think the contestants look fab so far, the standard has definitely got higher. Aussie MasterChef is my favourite of the MasterChef genre by a long way.

I'm loving it already, it's much better having the top 50 than that awful boys v girls format they had last year. Looking forward to hours and hours of cheerful Aussies and yummy food over the next few weeks, and of course George getting fattened up a bit - I prefer him cuddly!

I'm glad the audition round is back, I didn't like it last year when they just started with the top contestants

I wonder will crepe suzutte lady get through the next round, I don't think she will.

There are some very good cooks so far, but time will tell when they have to cook something out of their comfort zone
