Watched some of the first episode the first time but wasn't impressed.

Finding it hard going with the actors being different. I'm gonna stick with it hope it gets 'going' soon.

I tried, was so excited but hate it. The characters don't seem like themselves... apart from Lydia and Mrs Bennett. They're perfect.

It seems a bit flat and dull but can't compare it to the BBC pride and prejudice. It's okish standing on its own.
I loved the BBC PAP and even a few of the actors in the Hollywood version. This Lizzie is very dull IMO.

I saw it last time round - it was ok but the book is better (& slightly different)

SuperWifeANDMum · 24/08/2014 00:17

I watched it the first time around and then again tonight. I just cannot abide the actress who portrays Elizabeth Bennett. She's awful she looks old and tried, not how I picture Lizzie whenever I read Pride and Prejudice.

Yes and I also rewatched the whole of P &P before it! I liked the atmosphere of the woods (I've got the book).

I also don't much like the actress they used as Lizzie she can act but doesn't look good enough IMO she lacks the sexual magnetism of Ms Ehle. The house was alive though with good fires etc. I've recorded the end so will watch it today (I'm an hour later in Fr.)

I totally loved it, much better than the book IMHO. Gorgeous sets and acting. Matthew Rhys is nice and snarly and AMM can do no wrong in my eyes (except her character NEVER wears her bonnet - the Knightley version has got a lot to answer for :-)
