The Wright Stuff. Preferred the Diamond Stuff!

MUCH preffered Ann Diamond last week sitting in for MW (not that I watch it all the time, just now and then).

shes less bitchy, and though not perfect, shes a much less harsher person.

what I don't like about MW (he does make some valid points sometimes) is that he askes people to ring in with their opinions and then if he doesn't like them or something hell shout at them (whove waited on their lines and its on their bill) ''oh you're boring Im not listening to you any more'' and cuts them off . really bitchy.

Also that actor Jeremy Edwards I think is very good, gives very good views mostly so I will watch if hes a guest on it.

anyone else preffered her? or other sit ins like Madely or castle?

don't like terry Christian but sometimes he makes good points too.

I used to watch it most days, bur when Matthew Wright went in to the jungle,I thought he was bullying, bitchy, wimpy and not a great person. I've never watched it since.

I used to watch as well until Mathew went into the jungle and he acted like a complete fanny and a bully, just couldn't take him seriously after that.

I love Terry Christian when he's on - he's so funny! And Scott Capurro. Shame Ed Vaisey's not on any more. Used to like Dr David Bull, but kind of gone off him a bit now he's all "LA"

Richard Madeley is annoying because he's ALWAYS talking about his bloody family whenever he's on, and tells the same stories every time.

I like Anne Diamond as a panellist, but have to say, she doesn't display enough authority to actually host (and her voice seems to be getting a bit shrill these days).

Agree that M Wright can be a bit overbearing - he asks people to phone in, asks people to be on the panel, then constantly interrupts them to make his own points. He makes valid points a lot of the time, and I agree with him, but I really do wish he'd let other people speak, sometimes.

I like it when Seema is the "booth girl" - Kirsty is quite annoying - don't like her voice too much (you have to have a certain voice when presenting on TV, I think) and I hate it when she says "Calls will set you back x amount". Why can they not just cost you, rather than set you back. Every bloody day!

Mr W was funny at first....the programme was original and he was cheery. Sadly in the last few years he has got smug and bitchy.

I love MW. He's opinionated and plays devil's advocate but that's what it's all about. Also like Jeremy Edwards and Dr David Bull (a lot!)

he does have good panellists on sometimes.

Am I the only one who quite likes Christine Hamilton? I find her quite 'animated'. don't always agree with her but think shes quite intelligent.

I like Christine Hamilton too, Rafander. Again, don't always agree with her, but she's so effusive and seems like such a nice person (even if she is a UKIPpy-type) I try to ignore those traits. Bit like real life - we all have friends with whom we don't agree on certain subjects. Doesn't stop us being friends, though!!

Christine Hamilton is great, I think that with her husband they make great TV watching. I would love to go round and see if they are really like that in RL. Dont like Richard Madely, i have no idea why that Judy would want to marry such a child, must be good in bed at a guess.

CH was on THis morning talking about Cliff and when she and her DH were accused of stuff.

she spoke very well about it.

oh and the whatshisname from FunLovingCriminals. Huey is that his name? hes fun to watch, don't think hes been on it for a while.

Huey Morgan - yes, he is so great. Haven't seen him for a while.
Sometimes, MW gets a bit twitchy if someone is a little outspoken, because he's afraid (or the Channel is) afraid of complaints and Huey Morgan, Scott Capurro and Terry Christian make him sweat a bit. Yet he uses ridiculous words like "hide the sausage" and "lady bumps". They make me cringe more than any other descriptive phrases.

Matthew Wright is awful. He actually told the audience off last week for laughing at a caller he didn't agree with. He cannot hide his anger. Did anyone see him on Mr and Mrs? Was extremely weird.
Despite him I do like the show but time for a new presenter I think.

I like Richard Marley as as host. He was brilliant that week when ME went to the jungle.
I like ME as well, but he's got a bit twatty lately.. he needs to come do we n to earth as bit.
Guests I like are Christine Hamilton and the Labour lady (I think she's Indian) are both really interesting.

Yasmin Alibhai-Brown is Ugandan-born, but is of Indian or Pakistani heritage (I believe). She is LibDem (I like her too).

Baroness Warsi has also guested - she is Conservative.

I definitely agree with a lot of MW's views, but not all and I do get a bit cross sometimes when he invites people onto the show (or to phone in) to give their views, then tells them to shut up because he doesn't agree.

Yasmin....that's the one (didn't realize she was lib dem) never mind , I still like her.

Prefer Anne D.as panelist.
Don't mind Madely - surprised myself there.
Favourite panelists are Katy Brand, Scot Kapuro, Steve Furst, Huey Morgan, Yasmin AB - I don't always agree with them, but they are always interesting.

Never watch if Davidson or Hopkins are on.
MW made a complete tit of himself in IaCGMOoH, and it did expose some of his less attractive character traits.

frames The Hamiltons are pretty much like what you see on TV in rl. They were shown at home and generally going about their day to day life on a programme a while back. I don't think Neil is bright enough to put on much of a front, anyway, and Christine - well, she would think she'd need to.

I like mw and don't think other guest presenters are as good as him. As the previous poster said Anne isn't as authoritative as he is and can't steer/lead the conversations as well. She couldn't really challenge terry Christians arguments when they were both on or contribute or expand his points. I don't think there is anything wrong with how mw handles callers, usually he interrupts them because they are making a stupid/contradictory point or are not answering his question etc and a lot of the callers can't challenge the points he makes.

I love Katy brand, thought she was fantastic on the show.

Have to give it to him - he handled it REALLY well. I don't think the other fill-in presenters would have remained so calm.

Great format. Sharing the main presenter seat around a bit won't diminish it. MW is a bit too interupty, talkovery and dismissive I think. Zoe Lyons is one of my fave guests.
