Did anyone else see this last night?
We thought it was really well done - graphics, satellite type shots, head-cam shots, thumping music as well as WW1 music - all the effects that you'd see in a modern combat type film.
Most impressively of all - it wasn't to the detriment of the story. It was pretty warts'n'all, some bits made me laugh, others made me wince. But it was all based on the accounts of the actual people there.
I got a tear in my eye when they played the voice of Sid Godley VC at the end - as it hammered home that it was real.
I'm looking forward to seeing the next 2 parts in the series.
