Had watched the first three series and finally watched the final episode of the final series (series 4) last night.

Not saying anything more if you've still got episodes to watch.

On series 1 or is it 1 pt 2? The 2nd batch of stories (not Rosie murder)

Yes, definitely worth starting.

Watch it before you watch the Danish original though and then you'll get to enjoy both equally. From reading old threads on here those who watched Forbrydelson first just couldn't get on with the US version.
