Four year old bought a real gun for their birthday. What could go wrong?

Awful. It's another world.

Nine year old wandering alone with a loaded gun. What could go wrong?

It's very hard to understand isn't it? Here was a thoughtful piece in this Saturday's Guardian by the director.
So glad not to live in a country with guns.

Poor little girls being bullied into shooting.

My Grandfather was a gamekeeper and estate manager for many many years and he taught me to shoot starting at about 4 or 5. Always supervised until I think I was in my teens and it actually taught me about the value of life. Done right its not all NRA rallys but America is mental, there a gun is a toy, here a gun is more treated like a 'trade tool', there for a purpose and to be respected and not wafted about like in the states.

More than all the ethics I felt awfully sad for that 4 year old being bullied into doing something she didn't want to do. :(

I think it's all totally wrong. My family is American and I just find the whole guns / children thing madness.

I have just watching this and felt so sorry for the little 4 year old girl when she saw the dead squirrel she looked so sad. Sad

The accidental death by shooting statistics are just crazy. The sight of children firing weapons they can't control is crazy. How can any parent think the risk is justified?

TrendStopper · 06/08/2014 08:43

I was open mouthed with disbelief when the mother of the boy who died said to buy a safe gun for children. Eh no how about DONT buy a child a gun.
