I thought Debbie would be dead

Debbie is a really good actress. She even acts dead good.
On the live episodes when she was giving birth she was even more realistic then me when I was giving birth.

Ross cant be dead

Has the director been given The Big Book of Arty Cuts for Christmas? They did another one with that sheet of glass falling/boot closing tonight.
That's a pretty grim way to go for Val.

Has Ross died? ! Good, I can't stand him, such a caricature. I would so do Pete (unpopular I know). I liked him on Hollyoaks, looks all Irish blue eyed/dark haired.

When Rodney, Doug and Eric were in that pub and the crash was on the tv.

Had a feeling Val would be one of the dead. Shocked at Ross though. He was a much better fit with Debbie than wet blanket Pete.

Glad Kyle is safe, the scenes with Cain were very touching, I actually had a tear in my eye.

So, so far we have lost Ruby, Ross, Valerie, the poor helicopter pilot who nobody seems to care about... do we think that will be it or are there more fatalities to come?

Who thinks Chrissy will confess? She needs to get Robert out before he gets his feet under the table again too. And I would just like to say what a fabulous actress Moira is too.

Moira is great and she has amazing norks. Very impressed with them when she was running in that dress.
I'm gutted Ross died but I didn't know where the story was going with him and Debbie. I don't think they had long term prospects.

I mean !

I am glad to see the back of Val, not for any reason other than it is good to see a narc get their cummupance finally, and it was so apt to do it in a hall of mirrors. I shall miss her razor sharp comments and wit tho but.

That blow to Ross's head was nasty, I actually had to flip over to another channel mometarily because I was eating my dinner (I know, in front of th'telly- but I am alone in th'ouse tonight so anything goes) and I shed a tear when Cain emerged with little Kylie.

Debbie's finger lifting was so dramatic, her falsh eylashes and wedding makeup had stayed intact through spleen surgery and everything- what a trooper she is.

James was getting very close up and snuggly with Ross's littlun and Emma, I can see a new famly emerging there. Emma redeemed with her chance to put things right to bring up Ross's boy. Oh dear, that means she is staying. But Emma and Charity fighting over the boy for their mutual convenience may be interesting once she is out of the slammer.

Had the same thought about Debbie, not a rib out of place, tan and makeup unblemished.

Having said that, I thoroughly enjoyed both episodes. Emmerdale is in top gear, IMO. Top marks to all concerned.

Anyone notice that when Val was dying and looking at that glass hanging over her like a guillotine while she had her last ciggie...........

she was lying on two pieces of glass that looked like angels' wings..........

I was at Ross too. Maybe he's only a bit dead though, like Kathy Beale/Dennis Watts/Kim Tate?

They got rid of the wrong sister, Val had some good lines.

Val was hilarious, even at the end. Eric will be gutted. I didn't notice that 70 - I was watching it through my fingers . . .

I had the same thought 70s.

Val went out in style, for sure. I relaxed a bit once I knew Cain was okay, but overall, they were two great, tension filled episodes.

Is that it for people dieing then? Can't we have a few more?! Maybe Rachel and Laurel? Even of they died of the shock that would be great...

Can't wait for tonight's episode!!

I'm sorry but I think Ross should have had a better exit. Val and Ruby had a much better 'death'

It seemed a bit of a limp way out after his dramatic cliff top van exit.

Yer...he should have been trapped somewhere and rotted to death like that woman in 'Bad Girls' when Fenna locked her in that old cell. Then along come Rachel and Laurel to find him and die of the shock!!

Or maybe too much for a 7pm slot...

That's true Jojoanna, they both got to exit fairly dramatically, and in Val's case, to go in her own inimitable style.

I suppose his death will be the one that has the greatest repercussions though. Pete will struggle with the guilt, and that will affect his and Debbie's relationship. Plus, if, and when the body is found, there will be loads of suspicion about who actually killed him with Cain probably being suspect number one...
