Personally I think the Val faking her own death storyline is beyond ridiculous. I have always liked Val for a bit of bitchy nonsense but for this storey line alone I'm putting her on the virtual bus.

Slattern, I'm with you on the Val storyline. She has annoyed me more and more, of late. Sometimes I think there is no decent side to her at all, and the faking death storyline is ridiculous.

Jai and Rachel would be my top picks to go. There would probably be more, but them first.

Yep, Val is great. But the current storyline does her no justice.

FFS, how can they contemplate dropping a helicopter on the village when it's already had an aeroplane fall on it?

Helicopter? I just assumed that it would be a mass death/ life threatening injury event linked to the fairground. Say the whirly type ride collapsing with heaps of people either on the ride or trapped under twisted metal.

A helicopter? Do they think we've all forgotten the plane crash? Or that anyone who was watching then has already passed on?

People here (Scotland) wanted the helicopter thing pulled as it's a bit too similar to The Clutha disaster.

But then the plane crash was too similar to Lockerbie.

Looking forward to seeing who dies, I wonder will it be minor characters. I've seen speculation, about who might be the victim(s), but don't know for sure.

We should all speculate (obviously just wild guesses, no spoilers )

I reckon Laurel will get injured not killed so she can have an Epiphany and realise how much she loves Marlon.

Finn? Can't be Ross or Pete so maybe they want to kill off a Brother so Finn'll do.

The Emmerdale children will all be safe I reckon they can't involve a child being injured or killed (unless you count Lockie, minus his woolley hat. He was maybe hovering round?)

Debbie? Then Charity will get compassionate leave, sweep back, scoop up Moses and Ross then disappear?
