Two words are enough to give you a clue about this new comedy series: Peter Davison. Ah, there'll be no edgy or black humour then. Davison personifies the comfortable, middle-of-the-road shows (except for A Very Peculiar Practice) that get a panning from the critics and a sizeable, contented audience. And that's probably what will happen with this. Davison plays George, a bumbling professor of child psychology whose equally bemused wife, Phoebe, is played by Josie Lawrence. Both are concerned about the education standards in their child's primary school, but can't agree what to do about it. It's a mildly entertaining, undemanding way to spend half an hour.
