I know, but it drives me mad- I appreciate it's a useful shorthand, though.

Especially because trying to construct a sentence without it is a bleedin nightmare. and beyond meBlush

MrsVamos · 24/06/2014 18:49

Serena wins.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 24/06/2014 19:38

Looking like an easy match for Halep, so far.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 24/06/2014 20:43

Grrr BBC. Why would label a catch stream on you website as 'court 3 as it happened' if it isn't. Was thinking I could watch Hewitt's match and Heather's. But no. It got to 2-1 in /heather's first set, then cut to set point, then 3-1 in the second and then match point. Angry

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 24/06/2014 20:50

See, I'm so annoyed, that there are words missing from that 2nd sentence.

'Why would you label a catch up stream on your website' it should say.

hugoagogo · 24/06/2014 21:00

Yeah they are only highlights jobbies, very annoying.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 24/06/2014 21:10

I wouldn't have minded if it had said it was only highlights, but 'as it happened' implies not just highlights to me. Could have done without Inverdale popping up every few minutes too. Grin

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 24/06/2014 21:16

Order of Play for Wednesday.

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 24/06/2014 21:20

I think everything I want to see is on while I'm at work again. Probably be just in time to see Tomic or Djok. Roll on next week.

wizzler · 24/06/2014 21:24

Hurrah.. I am going tomorrow...court 2... sun is going to shine .. what could be better?

MrsVamos · 24/06/2014 21:37

Oh, Rafa. Very annoying.

You might see Rafa Thursday, I suspect he might be the late match on CC ?

As for other matches you missed and wanted to see, try checking all red buttons. I know they were re-showing various matches last night and this morning.

Didn't see any of the England match. By all accounts it was dismal to say the least.

wizzler V. Envy. Grrr !

Raahh · 24/06/2014 21:42

ooh, Wizzler- you get to see Ferrer Envy

DramaAlpaca · 24/06/2014 21:45

Nice to see lots of lurkers joining us Smile

I managed to hog the TV today by recording both BBC channels on the Sky box all afternoon while I was at work, so I could catch up when I got home. The DTeens weren't happy they couldn't watch the TV & had to find other stuff to do. I will be the world's most unpopular mother by the end of Wimbledon Grin

wizzler · 24/06/2014 21:48

V excited to see Ferrer... Day 3 was the day that lots of stars went out last year.. hoping for some excitement!

MrsVamos · 24/06/2014 21:49

Mine just accept it, Drama.

They know there is no point fighting it. Grin

MrsVamos · 24/06/2014 21:51

Ooh, wizzler.

You might see Andy, David or Novak go out. Shock

Or Venus ?

MrsVamos · 24/06/2014 21:51

I don't think Venus would be a shock though, anymore.

IreneR · 24/06/2014 21:56

(huffing and puffing just to catch up with the thread...)

Pretty nice results all around today. (I even got to see most of Fed's match, so was very happy. Good thing that the market we went to was hugely disappointing -- more time for tennis!)

I'm very sorry I missed Mirka's 'do, though; Miss Hooley?!? You cannot be serious!! (Channeling Johnny Mac, there -- did you see?)

IreneR · 24/06/2014 22:02

Another Fed Family aside, from waaay upthread: I thought I read the new twins' names explained as Leo and Lennart, but Lenny for short. Fed is a big Lenny Kravitz fan. Not sure that improves anything.

For what it's worth, my DS had schoolmates who were twins named Leo and Lenardo. They had a younger brother called Lenny.

And no, those ain't typos. I have previewed my message most carefully. We have lazy parents in the South, too, see?

MrsVamos · 24/06/2014 22:06

Irene Grin

IreneR · 24/06/2014 22:21

(I probably need to make some more intelligent comments, don't I, Mrs.V? Or I won't be invited to the MN Wimby Tailgate..)

magimedi · 24/06/2014 22:32

Drama - your DCs will learn.

I had an email from DS (age 33 & lives 'forrin') on Sunday morning saying that he won't ring me at all for the next fortnight as he knows I won't answer if there's a good match on!

Train 'em young!

noddyholder · 24/06/2014 23:16

We only eat snacky food during Wimbledon!

DramaAlpaca · 24/06/2014 23:21

magi & MrsVamos my poor neglected DTeens have grown up knowing that the house could probably fall down during Wimbledon & I wouldn't even notice [bad mother emoticon].

They just think it's seriously unfair that now I'm back at work I'm hogging the TV for Wimbledon even when I'm not in the house. Tough, I say Grin

trixymalixy · 24/06/2014 23:23

I should have been at Wimbledon today . I couldn't take up the tickets unfortunately. Sad
