As long as Stefan is coaching Fed, Roger can stay in.

So many of the players are approaching 30 or older now, I don't know why they keep going on about Fed.

No one is too tall for silly dances.

I like silly dancing. Shows personality.

DuPainDuVinDuFromage · 24/06/2014 13:34

Thanks MrsVamos!

I have just sneakily watched the end of Jo-Willy's match (at work, on computer, but hey, it's lunchtime and only one game!) and I don't think he did the dance? Unless I missed it while trying to shield my monitor Grin I agree the dance is silly - the first couple of times were fine but then I think it stopped being genuine excitement at winning and maybe he felt he had to keep doing it. If he's not doing it now maybe he's decided to be grown-up about it this year Grin

MrsVamos · 24/06/2014 13:35

I know ! Rafa and Andy are 28, I'm sure Stan is a bit of a gimmer in tennis terms ?

How old is Gublis ? I like him. He makes me laugh. Anyone see his interview ? Vampires/umpires ?!

MrsVamos · 24/06/2014 13:36

I haven't forgotten Gublis was rude though.

Cantdothisagain · 24/06/2014 13:40

Lurker here! Loved the way Fed described himself in relation to Edberg. Interviewer said you're similar aren't you, and Fed said yes... Well no...
I am happy he is still playing.

MrsVamos · 24/06/2014 13:40

I am a lazy sod who does nothing but watch tennis from May to July.

I have no shame.

I stupidly promised DD we could go out and get some more look bands today. Don't drive so need a lift into town, and person giving lift works in a school so can't go till after school. When Rafa is due on. How stupid am I ?

You would have thought after missing the RG final I would have learnt, wouldn't you ?

Raahh · 24/06/2014 13:42

No, much as I like Jo, I don't like his dance. Grin. Which he didn't do today. Probably because it was all over so quickly.

As a professional stalker, I get lots of Edberg pics on Facebook with thousands of other people. His wife is looking old. It should have been me.

Cantdothisagain · 24/06/2014 13:42

Hmm bad planning there....

MrsVamos · 24/06/2014 13:43

Hello and welcome, Cantdo.

Lots of tennis fans coming out of lurking, this is fantastic !

Reminds me of the old days Raahh when we started a regular tennis thread.

I'm getting all emotional.

I just love this time of year !

Raahh · 24/06/2014 13:44

The Vampire/Umpire thing was funny. Yes, Ernie was somewhat sexist in his views on women in the game. Hmm . But I still like himBlush- he is starting to care more, and wants to win more- but is still not prepared to be all sappy and brown-nosey, which I like.

I have to go to a meeting after school re-Ds's residential to Gibraltar on Monday. it is very inconvenient. It had better not drag on too long.

OP posts:
MrsVamos · 24/06/2014 13:45

And I meant loom bands not look.

Fecks sake.

I quite like going them, I am quite good.

I might make a Spanish colour one.

Raahh · 24/06/2014 13:47

Loom bands are the work of the devil. And addictive. And get bloody everywhere.

I asked dd1 to make me a purple and green one, but she didn't really have the right shades

OP posts:
MrsVamos · 24/06/2014 13:48

Monday ? Bugger that ! Cant they just email the info or give it you in the morning ?

How very inconvenient.

I am very lucky. I have all my meetings to suit me. Grin

MrsVamos · 24/06/2014 13:49

doing them ! Probably should be I like making them, not doing.

Sodding phone keys are soooo tiny.

Cantdothisagain · 24/06/2014 13:49

I feel I should crack open the Pimms. Shame it's raining here and I'm meant to be working (sssh).

Loom bands a go-go here too. And awful World Cup stickers. I am determined to indoctrinate my daughters with tennis instead. It's just so civilised.

MrsVamos · 24/06/2014 13:51

PMSL !

Why do you think we have to buy more of the things ?!

I am very particular about my colours.

I may even be perusing ebay for single colours so that I have plenty.

Raahh · 24/06/2014 13:53

where's Juan- she's supposed to be knitting Wimbledon coloured bootees for Djok-junior. Grin

OP posts:
MrsVamos · 24/06/2014 13:55

I banned sticker books years ago. Waste of money.

I bought over a 1000 loom bands on Saturday ( I need specfic colours to attempt a lion) and we already need more.

I keep seeing new ones ! Has anyone tried the colour-changing ones ? Do they work ?

I do alopogise, I am digressing.

But I need to know before I blow another £20 on elastic bands !

MrsVamos · 24/06/2014 13:56

Juan has been in.

Knitting ?

I cant knit. Well, I can fingerknit, just not with needles.

Raahh · 24/06/2014 13:57

I need a board. I promised to get one this afternoon. dd1 made 20 bracelets at the weekend- and then took them all apartShock

How's Lipsticki doing? Will need to keep an eye on when Rafa is on Vamos

OP posts:
Raahh · 24/06/2014 13:58

I can't knit either. Neither could Juan- she's been learningGrin

OP posts:
MrsVamos · 24/06/2014 13:58

Just realised the significance of purple and green, Raahh.

I shall look today. If I find the right shades I'll let you know and I'll make you one.

I'll need your measurements. Oo-er missues !
