Eight female, seven male this year. I prefer equal, but never mind!

Ladies: Ola, Iveta, Aliona, Janette, Natalie, Kristina and Joanne Clifton.

Men: Kevin, Anton, Brendan, Robin, Aljaž, Pasha and Tristan MacManus.

We've lost James, Artem and Anya.

I'm excited about Joanne, she's an amazing ballroom dancer.

If I were her/her agent I would have negotiated a really good contract last year when they needed her at short notice, so that might be why?

Anya was a great choreographer - wish she'd stayed instead of Aliona.

Very disappointed that Artem is leaving - apart from the obvious reasons I always loved the way he choreographed the way he wanted to, despite knowing that Len would rage about the lack of content for that particular dance. His last year with Natalie was amazing.

DH is pleased Aliona's in again, she "got knocked out far too early last year" for his liking. If that lets me watch in peace I'm all for it.

According to his Twitter feed, Artem is having Visa problems with coming back to the UK, so is staying in the USA.
I wonder what this means to his relationship with Kara? Marry him, Kara so we can have him back!
His choreography was consistently the most creative and exciting.

Is Karen not back then? I thought she was kevin (from grimsby's) fiancée and they would come as a pair. I suppose Ola is back without James though.

Glad to see the back of James, his ego overshadowed his talent IMO.

Artem is a big loss - he was by far the most interesting choreographer. Hopefully he will be back next year. Who is taking over from Bruce?

Don't think Ola could turn down the money. Not too sorry James Isn't back either. Think he's a bit bitter about it though...

I think they split up at the end of last year didn't they? I'm not too bothered he isn't back, I always thought he was a bit melodramatic and I was never that keen on his ballroom.

We have a few more ballroom preferring girls now, with Iveta, Natalie and Joanne so hopefully we'll get some really good ballroom this series

I haven't watched it since matthew Cutler and Ian Waite left.
