Fab isn't it?

I'd like to think that Jesse finally found happiness and became a carpenter.

My favourite characters were Badger and Skinny Pete too, I lived it when they turned up in the last episode.

I loved how the writers made you love and hate Walt at the same time.

I cried when Hank died, that episode was quite intense.

MrsRTea · 14/05/2014 08:14

Reader, I married him.

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 14/05/2014 08:20

I only watched it recently too in a week Realistically, I reckon jesse was dead within a year. Of course I hope he drove off into the sunset, but as a former addict dealing with a lot of shit, his odds dont look good.

I loved walt. I could absolutely understand why he did everything he did, and im worried what that says about me! Grin once he was in the criminal world, he had to survive, and then "you might as well be hanged for a sheep as for a lamb"...

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 14/05/2014 08:22

Better call saul is out this year i think?

MrsRTea · 14/05/2014 08:23

You are so wrong, Beyond. He is now a very respectable accountant, wears M&S clothing and collects antique clocks.

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 14/05/2014 09:49

In that case, the jesse i know and love has clearly died Grin

MrsRTea · 14/05/2014 09:51

He's got a teenage son, though...

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 14/05/2014 10:33

I hope he drove off into the sunset and ended up adopting Brock and living on the same island Elvis and Diana doWink

It was so multi layered, and threw up so many questions as to whose 'fault' it was-

Elliott and Gretchen?
Drug industry?
Lack of affordable health care?

Loved it!!Grin

best thing i ever saw, still pine for it months later. am building up to watch it again. i would watch it again tomorrow although dh needs a longer gap imbetween than me. i can recommend Fringe to watch in the mean time if you have netflix. it is very different and not as good BUT still a good watch each night. i too would love to think that jesse drove off and found happiness. the last 5 episodes of season 5 were a KILLER. superb works of art. there was one episode, may be the one when walt told jesse he had watched jane die, when i found it so stressful i had to keep putting it on hold and going out of the room and doing something else as i couldn't stand the stress Grin. i cheered when in the last episode skinny & co appeared from the bushes, a genius touch, especially the lazers, that whole scene was extremely clever, so very Breaking Bad. the look between jesse and walt just before jesse drove off at the end was heartbreaking. i think that aaron paul is a superb actor, he nailed that character in a breathtaking way!! come to think of it, they all did :0)

Fairylea · 14/05/2014 11:14

He became gay and went and married Flynn (Walt junior) and they spent walts money when it came to Flynn :)

Fairylea · 14/05/2014 11:14

(Became gay bad choice of words... I meant came out as gay!)

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 14/05/2014 13:10

I can't bear the fact that Skylar, Walt jr and Holly now think their father/dh is a dreadful man and they hate him but equally he was awful and put them in dreadful danger.

Remember when the masked men stood over Holly's cot - now THAT made me go hot and cold all over and feel sick all at the same time Shock

I'm counting down the weeks until I start maternity leave so I can get comfy on the sofa and watch it all again. I'd love to think that Jessie pulled his shit together but reckon the guilt would have become too much for him.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 14/05/2014 13:24

I LOVED that scene where he is remembering making the wooden box and then being so shocked at him being chained in the meth lab Sad

OP posts:
MrsRTea · 14/05/2014 16:31

He's a survivor though, innit?

I think he will pull his shit together. I agree about the box.

AryaOfHouseSnark · 14/05/2014 16:41

Jesse moved to New Zealand, where he became a bush pilot. It is known Wink

Youdontneedacriminallawyer · 14/05/2014 16:44

If you watch it a second time you see lots of things you wouldn't have noticed first time round. Like the lilly of the valley growing in Walt's garden.

cosikitty · 14/05/2014 16:49

Feel lost with out it, just finished watching it and the nights seem so empty now Sad

Vivacia · 14/05/2014 16:51

Skylar knows he's not a bad man though.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 14/05/2014 19:13

Oh we saw the lily of the valley-how did you miss that, the camera zoomed right in on itGrin weirdly though that annoyed me because as far as I know it doesn't have red berriesConfused maybe they call a different plant lily of the valley in the states?

OP posts:
DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 14/05/2014 19:15

Does Skylar know though? After all he WAS a bad man really...

Oh it's crap know we have nothing to watch. Fargo is shit in comparison!

OP posts:
Bue · 14/05/2014 19:43

Oh I lost sleep over the last episode. Will Jesse be ok? Will he get his house back? Does Walt Jr get the money when he turns 18? Are Skylar and the kids ok in the meantime? Does Marie find happiness with someone more suited to her than Hank? The questions!

I had grown to hate Walt but all that melted away in the last scene. I was glad that he seemed to die happy.

awaynboilyurheid · 14/05/2014 20:02

Yes I believe Jesse is now living a good life , my daughter showed me a picture of him he was in the papers he looked really well and has became famous, so I could be reassured he is okay he has a lovely wife and mixes with actors now not sure how that happened but it did !
So glad Walt came good for him in the end, but lost all respect when he killed Mike lovedMike
And I still can recall the scene when Hank died, your one of the smartest people I know and still you don't know he made up his mind 5 minutes ago, sob sob , that was me sobbing not Hank
So glad I am not alone in my pining/missing of the best series ever, think I need to watch again too.

Nonemoreblack · 14/05/2014 20:13

Of course Jesse adopted Brock and became a carpenter! And maybe a drug counsellor for good measure. I really hated Walt though, I really struggled with that character because I could find no redeeming qualities in him whatsoever. Although I think he did quite like Jesse so that endeared me to him slightly. Can't wait for Better Call Saul - loved Saul!
