here is the thread, I was all alone on it in the end .
when DC and I saw the RT this morning we both sqealed in the middle of the shop .
one of the best RT covers EVER.

Saw it in the shop this morning. Sorry, I know the Doctor is supposed to be a bit wacky but he just looks utterly ridiculous in those skinny trousers and massive boots. I like the rest of the outfit but I can't stop looking at the boots/trousers combo. He is far too old to carry it off. (somehow the fact that the boots are so shiny and obviously brand-new makes it worse - don't know why! Trying too hard maybe?).

Puxel I sort-of agree but I'm trying really hard to convince myself and ignore the creeping qualms about the trouser/boot combo

Quirky and not quite right footwear is a consistent theme with Dr Who though.

I've seen some pics on Twitter (#dwsr), he seems to be changing his shirts quite a lot but I really like the boots and slim pants combo, he's quirky enough to carry it off nicely.
Just so you know, it's a set report hashtag, so many spoilers.

But they are not slim all the way down, they are sort of puffy at the top as if he's had his school trousers taken in by his Nan .

I really really fancy Peter Capaldi. It's pathetic.

And I meant the actor is too old not the Doctor.

Oh I don't know. I suppose he might grow on me like all the others have but Christopher Eccleston is still the best. I will try hard not to judge him on his stupid boots, honest!
