tonight on itv at 9... did anyone watch? Whilst I love John Sim in anything, I am very fed up with bent cop dramas, hello Dot from Line of Duty... and very concerned that gratuitous violence against women ( and children in this episode)is our only viewing fodder these days.....

I watched it and thought it was just a rehash of The Fugutive, so far anyway.

I loved it. I love John Simm anyway but I was gripped from start to finish.

It was pretty hard hitting though - violence against men, women and children :/

It just bugged me that when he found his wife/ex (not sure if I can post spoilers...) - surely anyone would go and look for their kids to see if they were safe? All that going out and lying in a stream - I know it was shock but he is a senior police officer? I think John Simm is a great actor and the reaction to the news about his son was the best acting I've seen in a long while - and made me cry too. I think I'll stick with it.

was a bit more exciting last night. I gave it another chance.

I'm liking it. The weak woman who convicted him is really annoying, and the end of last night's episode was a shocker.

I'm enjoying it, but a bit at corrupt coppers- and had already guessed that Sean Devlin would be a badun!

Does anyone else think that Sean was seeing Marcus's wife (although she said John?

And she & the boy were killed because of their connection to him?

Oh, maybe Sean was using her in more ways than one. So not killed by Sean himself, but someone getting to him. Could well be.

I think the female detective is vv annoying and can't act!

Is she a comedian, or am I mixing her up with someone else (the WPC who booked him)?

She was in jam and Jerusalem and I've seen her elsewhere but can't remember.

Was it her in Shaun of the Dead?

And why is she stalking her ex and constantly eating?!

Now I'm going to have to admit I fell asleep part way through the last episode and I missed the stalking. Constant eating is maybe just to make us dislike her all the more.

Or maybe to suggest she has no self control/ability to delay gratification, and it affects her work.

This has got us all gripped, but it is really down to John Simm's acting, he really is that good.....but I would watch him in anything.

Also finding female DCI rather unconvincing and not doing a lot to enhance GMP's reputation

I enjoyed it. Only watched because of John Simm so have not ODd on other bent coppers

A bit far fetched jumping off bridges and out of trains and ending up with no more than a limp!!
Don't know if I can be arsed to watch the rest tbh!!!

I'm enjoying this even though it seems to be a Bourne/Fugitive mash up. I really like the actress who plays the female detective, good naturalistic performance. Very realistic.

Why have I seen tonight's episode already? I thought Sat night was the first viewing???

Monday night is the first viewing, Sat is the repeat.

Damn! It clashes with Happy Valley!
