I love Catfish and never understand how people fall for these things especially when Nev/Max unearth it within an hour

I think Max films it as thats how it started him recording his friend Nev finding out about his catfish

How can these people be so gullible? Saw one a couple of weeks ago where the hot, confident guy on the phone sounded like a 12-year old boy with no social skills. And when the presenters tried to press him for a meeting he kept mumbling and hanging up. Certainly didn't sound like his picture looked.

Turned out 'he' was a woman.

I watched this for the first time on Sunday and have watched about eight episodes, it's just bonkers. I'm a little bit in love with Nev despite his very hairy chest!

I love Max. He comes this close to telling them they're all batshit. His eyebrows express his utter 'WTF?!'

Nev is bootiful.

I am shocked at how many of these turn out to be the same sex!

Also feel its quite sad that so many of the lies seem to be around being overweight and how they feel no-one will want them if they knew how large they are.

I watched it a couple of times, and it made me feel really uncomfortable. The participants in this show so obviously have issues that lead them to reach out through social media in this way, and cause them to not think about the reality of things.

Most of the ones doing the catfishing are disturbed and unhappy individuals, but there are a few that are just plain MEAN, malicious and plain nasty fekers that do it for the kick of causing deliberate pain. Weird.

I saw the original film. Didn't realise they'd made a TV series.

I think Max films it for the website etc while MTV film then for the show.

I made ds watch an episode as an example of things aren't always what they seem on line.

It is totally addictive.
I popped into the front room to do a cup/plate sweep and sat down for about 3 hours watching the catch up series last week.
It is very interesting and sometimes very shocking.
