Where can this go? I mean the guy she thinks did it must be guilty surely, or there is no story.

Totally unbelievable undeniable is a load of gargabge.

JuniorMint · 14/04/2014 21:50

I think I will write an ITV drama, doesn't seem too tricky Grin

Nerf · 14/04/2014 22:05

Do it, can't be any lamer than that.
You just need loads of pointless detail and then someone to drop into conversation something that solves it all in the last five minutes.

Neighbour 'oh, did I not tell you your dad was a qualified bomb disposal expert before he took up farming?'

Etc.

Doshusallie · 14/04/2014 22:07

So...what was his actual motive for killing her mum? Why was he at that remote beauty spot anyway? Was he stalking her or there by chance?

Don't know about Undeniable, more like Unbelievable....

Kaluki · 14/04/2014 22:33

What a load of rubbish that was!!
Why did he do it??
There's 2 hours of my life I'll never get back!!!

felinesad · 15/04/2014 07:08

Total rubbish. Total disappointment.

As Dosh says what was the motive???

How did he know to show up at some remote beauty spot to kill her???

Do people really change from controlling sexual predator and wife beater into Mr Perfect?

More Unbelievable and than Undeniable.

Yamyoid · 15/04/2014 07:24

The woman he assaulted said there was a compliant made against him by a patient. I assumed he killed her to silence her.

Yamyoid · 15/04/2014 07:25

*complaint

EssexGurl · 15/04/2014 10:13

He had also followed the nurse to her home and tried to assault her before her flat mates got back. So he obviously had form for being a bit of a stalker. Assume if the mum was the patient who had complained about him then it was not unusual for him to stalk her and find out where she lived/went. Not sure he necessarily meant to kill her maybe just shut her up.

But with 10 mins to go they had to rush to wrap it up and so skimped a bit on the reason. I think it was more about the daughter proving who it was. The why was a bit less relevant to her needing to find him and prove who did it.

felinesad · 15/04/2014 13:38

But still ridiculous. If she was the patient who made the complaint then she'd already done it as the nurse knew about it so what was the point??. Drs get complained about all the time so why would he worry about one random complaint??

Yes he turned up at that nurses address but finding out where someone lives and turning up there unannounced is very different to following someone out into a beauty spot. If he was following her he would have known she had her child with her. Why would he kill her and leave a witness (other than the fact he could be part of a crap drama on itv!!). Surely if he had been stalking her and there was no evidence he would have waited until she was on her own especially as child was of school age. Confused

Also couldn't believe the solicitor daughter would have approached Claire Goose. No solicitor would do that when they could use the court processes legitimately.

Yes I know I've put much too much thought into this......................

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/04/2014 14:32

Beyond the sea - you were right about the blood/DNA

But what a waste of 2hrs. Why did he kill her mum?

Was she a nurse and he assaulted her and had to silence her?

And seriously would a 7yr recognize a man 20+ yrs later

mumofthemonsters808 · 15/04/2014 14:43

Very disappointing, this could have been wrapped up in one episode instead of being dragged out over two weeks. I think the plot was very weak, I'm not a lover of ITV dramas at the best of times they are so predictable.

I'm looking forward to the John Simms series I think it is called Prey, I keep seeing the trailers but not sure when it starts.

BeyondTheSea · 15/04/2014 20:52

I wasn't quite correct - I thought he''d got hold of some fresh cells which is why he only agreed to have the DNA test the next day. It makes no sense why he didn't agree initially now.

I agree - was a bit rubbish. Worse line 'You left us' !!!!!!!

Ruprekt · 15/04/2014 22:21

Absolute crap would be a better title!AngryAngryAngry

Clawdy · 16/04/2014 14:59

Don't think I would have been quite so forgiving of the unsupportive husband either....

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/08/2021 22:26

Bumping as being shown again now

Searched and found this thread 😂

From 7yrs ago. And I’m on it pmsl

SpanishFly · 20/09/2021 16:14

I just watched this for the first time. I hadn't realised it was a few years old!
I enjoyed the first episode, but they could have either wrapped it all up in episode 1 or made the back story better and made it a 3 episode story.
The motive etc wasn't explained at all, then the entire case was solved in the last 10 mins 🤦🏼‍♀️
