oh blimey ds has nearly all espisodes on dvd replacing his video collection, i am hoping he will grow out of it.

They're not speaking English, the TARDIS's telepathic field is translating. Though it takes until 1976 for anyone to query it (Sarah Jane in the Masque of Mandragora, when she asks the Doctor how she can understand the people in 15th century Italy - and it warns the Doctor that she's been hypnotised.)

DH is watching this (now) but I just made him put the Christmas 2008 episode ( David Tennant, Dervla Kirwan and David Morrissey in Victorian London)

It has just strengthened by 100% belief that David M should have been the next Doctor, he would've been brilliant.
DH says not feasible because he's not a Time Lord, but the writers could have got round that

much as I love this cast, and the fab car Bessie! and the master, but its gone on too long, this story!

Now THATS what I call a Dalek!! older ones, more scary. less CGI, more 'stunty' IYKWIM. and better voices.on the sylvester episodes now.

Nick Briggs is good doing the voices but its not like the old ones. more authentic. ;ovin the white dalek!

Sophie Aldred (Ace) does the voice of Tree fu Tom and I cant get that image out of my head!

I haven't been watching because (1) we still haven't got our freesat cable fixed (2) DH and I are doing a complete rewatching starting from An Unearthly Child and so far we've only got to The Crusade and (3) we've been at a Gerry Anderson convention this weekend.

I think Colin Baker was unlucky both in the quality of most of the stories during his tenure and in the way he was required to play the Doctor, as an abrasive contrast to Peter Davison's portrayal.

they showed the 1sr 2 episodes of the 1st dalek story today. Hartnell fluffing half his lines et al.

Aaanyway... haven't watched any of it... but my Who dvd/video/audio collection is pretty bulky to begin with.

I hated Colin Baker because he killed 'my' Doctor, and was so horribly different. Viewed with grown up eyes, I can see what they were trying to do, and he did soften up towards the end to the point that I'm kind of sad to see him go nowadays.

The dalek one is the one the film with Peter Cushing did isn't it? same story.

aww. loved the dalek/Thal story. was brilliant. loved Barbara and the Thals flirty thing going on. bless!
