In UK so haven't seen but read it online. It's sad and seems as if he never loved the mother like he did Robin.

Yep. The entire series is the weekend of robin and Barney's wedding, part from the series finale. The .entire. Series.

Just watch the last episode ever. Thought it was horrendous. The whole thing was rushed, and sad, but not sad in a good way. They all basically fall out of touch and ted never got over robin.

Horrible. They tried way to hard and it came across and just sad and not like HIMYM.

Oh, the ending was awful. 'Hey kids, I've just spent ages telling you about how I met your mother, but really it was all bullshit and I've been after Aunt Robin all these years'. Ted always was a tremendous dick though. It's been pretty dire since season 7, but I felt that I had to see it through.

Oh, I thought it wasn't because you said we were still near the start of the series and I'm sure I watched 20 something hours before the wedding last Thursday.

Do we at least get to see the wedding?

I've got mixed feelings. I can see what they were driving at- life is all about loss, coping with loss, moving on etc- but Robin is such a pain in the arse by season 9 and I felt that she and Ted were so wrong for one another that I just feel a bit flat about it.

I watched the finale online. God it's depressing. The mother was massively sidelined and considering the ending its massively insensitive of the kids to say "are we being punished?" in the pilot when Ted starts the story.

It kinda seemed like no one was really happy. Marshall and Lily perhaps but even then Lily seemed very out of character.

lotsa yes you see the wedding.

Are we allowed to talk about the finale?

lotsa every episode is like another hour or two before the wedding. Marshall doesn't even reunite with the group for most of the series.

Oh. I have to admit that I feel like this series is really dragging compared to others (dipped in and out of last few series' but DH is making me watch this one).

Glad that we actually get to see the wedding though, was a bit worried that it'd end just before or something like that

I wish it did end at the wedding and ted judt meeting the mother. The real ending is depressing!

I'm in UK too but sadly saw this on fb timeline...gutted!

I'd hoped to see more of their relationship...loving the little snapshots we're getting.

Robin and Ted are most certainly not made for each other...he's far too boring for her!

Don't know if I can arsed to watch it now I know what happens Sad.

I HATED IT SO MUCH

Its not the fact that i waited all this time to see the mother and then she dies, its the fact that i fell in love with her so so so much!!! and i thought she was perfect for Ted and shouldn't have dies, it was a huge disapointment.
It left some questions un answered (like marshel and lily's baby gender and name, and where did the pineapple come from!!)

I feel so let down by the time i invested in those characters and was so so happy for robin and barny only to find out about 5 minutes after they get married in the episode they get divorced. Ok so the point was that barny's one true love was his daughter but i still dont like that though, not after everything he experienced with robin.

In my head that ending never happened. It did not give me closure or justice to one of my favourite shows. I will forever watch HIMYM but never the finale EVER AGAIN!

oh god i thought of more things to say! (sorry!)

I liked it when ted and robin did go out but i think the viewers were very excepting of the fact they broke up. i value their friendship, nothing else.
