Did anyone watch it last night.
Generally speaking, I enjoy it a lot. Like the way Morse shows his academic credentials and all the period details.

Found the ending very 'scooby doo'. It was a bit like Velma explaining to the rest of the gang how the man from the funfair got away with it, with lots of ridiculous details that it would have been impossible for the viewer to know or work out. At one point, the baddie who arranged the beauty contests almost said 'I would have got away with it if it wasnt for you meddling kids'

Anyway, still enjoyed it and clearly Morse has upset the Masons and they will be after him in future episodes. Who do you think is a Mason within his Police force and likely to be after him?

Totally agree. Was really enjoying until the end - total hogwash. However, liked the reference to the missing notebook as the credits rolled.

Missed the last half hour - since when did you have to sign up for itv player ds thought it a real let down apparently , no way of anticipating the culprit.

Yes agree, it was pretty much impossible to work it out, unless you just had a lucky guess.

Still good though.
