In MsNobodyAgain's temporary absence, I am starting this thread. Normal service will be resumed soon, hopefully.

Welcome to the Sad Doctors Thread Participators (SDTP) self-help group.

We have not abandoned all hope of Hestembe, but are concentrating on getting the Gobbyplods back together. Maybe they just need some Merlot?

Please join us, we may have dubious taste in Tv, but we're a friendly bunch.

madhairday · 29/04/2014 14:20

OMG, I've never been so shocked, someone pass me the gin. Mrs.T is Miss.Smiley and the Tikabilla woman. I thought Wikipedia was joking when I read it. Yes I've just looked up all the cast up on Wikipedia. How did I not know this ? I wouldn't have recognized her in a million year's. I would have put Miss.S down as being much younger than Mrs.T. Does goes to show how you can alter appearance with clothes, wigs and make up.

WaitMonkey · 29/04/2014 14:39

Hope you're ok mad. Thanks

AnneEyhtMeyer · 29/04/2014 14:41

Wait - we have spoken about this on here before. It is very odd, isn't it? She wears a wig as Miss Smiley too. In real life she has bright blonde short hair.

WaitMonkey · 29/04/2014 14:47

I must have missed the precious discussions on it Anne, I've not been on the thread long. I am genuinely so shocked about it though. Grin

WaitMonkey · 29/04/2014 14:47

Mrs.T is blonde. Shock Off to Google. Grin

madhairday · 29/04/2014 14:57

Thanks. I am in hospital for iv antibiotics for my lung condition. Fairly pants but has to be.

I remember tikkabilla! I don't remember Mrs t in it? Remember Sarah Jane who was in everything then and do fancied her

madhairday · 29/04/2014 14:57

Dh not do

madhairday · 29/04/2014 14:58

Can you tell I have a new phone

AnneEyhtMeyer · 29/04/2014 15:06

Oh mad. I hope you are better soon.

Mrs T was Lorna in Tikkabilla - they use their real names on that.

Anne This "They better make up for it with a shower scene. & No, Raahh. Just long, lingering steamy shots!" Sounds like an advert for the Karcher!
I've got cleaning & limescale on my mind!

toldmywrath · 29/04/2014 16:52

Mad hope you're getting better in hospital-what a pain for you. Cake

Raahh · 29/04/2014 17:05

told Grin

Yes- it would be very disappointing for Anne if TBFE was only cleaning the shower.

I'm sure the steam cleaner would have cleaned up the blood in Psycho in an instant. Norman could have posted a review. Grin

Raahh · 29/04/2014 17:09

Tikkabilla is awful. it's on at stupid o'clock when Me Too! is on. DD2 loves it. I want to throttle the baby voiced purple dragon thing.

Sarah Jane has always been irritating. And I think a klaxon goes off when she is mentioned, as a few years back, (on 2 totally random zombie threads) she a family member came on to defend her. Grin

toldmywrath · 29/04/2014 17:36

I'm way too old for the childrens' tv stuff, however I made an exception for GIMP & watched it on demand to see the lovely Lorna Laidlaw.
I don't know- I'd be most pleased to see TBFE cleaning my shower Raahh

cinnamongreyhound · 29/04/2014 18:46

I've never even heard of tikkabella!

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 29/04/2014 19:07

Tikkabilla was highly irritating. DD wouldn't let us watch GIMP, it totally freaked her out, but we were pretty well finished with CBeebies when it came out anyway. Me Too - is that the dreadful Granny Murray? I don't really miss this stuff.

The Karcher gets a really bad review in Which Anne - says that after 10 or so uses the amount of steam produced starts reducing and that it's not worth the money.

Mad - sorry you're in hospital, hope you have got all the GPs from your surgery calling to see how are you are.

Raahh · 29/04/2014 19:53

cinnamon- imagine a low budget Play School. That is what Tikkabilla is like. Grin

madhairday · 29/04/2014 19:55

Whoknows - how did you guess? They're not just ringing, they've all come to visit me. I'm in this little room with a round window Grin they've all diagnosed me over and above the hospital doctors who don't actually exist and the nurses who are unable to talk. It's great! Wink

AnneEyhtMeyer · 29/04/2014 20:46

If I had TBFE in the house I would not be steam cleaning, believe me!

That's interesting about the Which review, Who. I had it going for about 2 and half hours constantly the other day, then again for another ten minutes later on. Haven't noticed anything yet, and I thought I would after that length of time. I wonder if it is due to limescale? It does say you have to descale it after about 10 uses. Was the review for the model we are testing?

OP posts:
WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 29/04/2014 20:51

Yes, it was Anne. The review basically said that none of the cylinder type ones were very good, but the two Karcher ones were amongst the worst. However, I still fancy one, and have just got one in my shopping basket (the cheaper model) heavily discounted on the Karcher outlet website.

Mad - I trust you will also be getting daily homes visits on discharge?
