In MsNobodyAgain's temporary absence, I am starting this thread. Normal service will be resumed soon, hopefully.

Welcome to the Sad Doctors Thread Participators (SDTP) self-help group.

We have not abandoned all hope of Hestembe, but are concentrating on getting the Gobbyplods back together. Maybe they just need some Merlot?

Please join us, we may have dubious taste in Tv, but we're a friendly bunch.

Must be hard rebuilding your life though, I don't know what I'd do without dh!

curlyclaz13 · 28/04/2014 14:08

raahh our receptionist has keypad tones. It makes me even more standby.

Raahh · 28/04/2014 14:08

oh blimey, it has been months hasn't it? Gobby being 18. Seems so much longerGrin

6tl used to hate Chris, they never got on, and she was always sleeping with other blokes.

They are always re-writing history with this womanGrin

cinnamongreyhound · 28/04/2014 14:10

Daniel is always the voice of reason these days!

Raahh · 28/04/2014 14:10

6tl- you never knew how to have a laugh.

cinnamongreyhound · 28/04/2014 14:11

But I thought she had a good relationship with her hubby but he just couldn't get it up so she slept around Raahh?

curlyclaz13 · 28/04/2014 14:11

Stabby not standby

AnneEyhtMeyer · 28/04/2014 14:11

Who the hell enjoys Ann Summers parties these days? Laugh til your ribs break? I don't think so.

Raahh · 28/04/2014 14:12

cinnamon- I don't know, I just like painting her as a villain.

cinnamongreyhound · 28/04/2014 14:12

Not much point if she has no friends!

Zara doesnt remember what it was like, she was a mess when Joe was small!

AnneEyhtMeyer · 28/04/2014 14:12

I think the breastfeeding lady should try uncovering her breast. It must be hard to suckle through a towelling dressing gown.

Raahh · 28/04/2014 14:14

I hate to admit this.

But i will.

My sister hosts Ann Summers parties

she has her own team, and gets free trips to Benidorm

One of the many reasons my sister and I are so very, very differentGrin She makes quite a bit out of it though. I've never been to one. I buy online

cinnamongreyhound · 28/04/2014 14:14

I went to a temple spa party class on Friday and the ladies there were talking about how they should have an Anne summers party because they had so much fun at the last one so maybe not!

Raahh · 28/04/2014 14:15

Anne Grin

I was thinking thatGrin

cinnamongreyhound · 28/04/2014 14:16

I've never been to one either and I'm not confident in big groups so I would be rubbish at one too! Sounds like Bodyshop Raahh if you can recruit well you can get all sorts for free, this year my manager went to bitan island, I was rubbish so stopped last month :(

Raahh · 28/04/2014 14:18

I was also wondering where she got the dressing gown. I hate fleecy ones. I like towelling, but they are usually white, or pale colours, and about 8 ft too big.

The one i have is falling to bits, and was purchased from BHS kids department, about a 12 years ago.

cinnamongreyhound · 28/04/2014 14:18

Grin AnneEyhtMeyer I assumed she was just cuddling t not feeding it!

Raahh · 28/04/2014 14:21

Dsis has done all sorts over the years.

Body shop, very briefly, Virgin Vie parties (similar, but more expensive), learnt to do nails, you name it, she has tried it for a bit.

when I was a child, as well as tupperware, my mum used to host wickerwork partiesGrin

Raahh · 28/04/2014 14:27

Mum also did Pippa Dee parties (allegedly where the founder of Ann Summers got her idea from). Bad 70's clothes and baby doll nighties. I was very young- loads of the neighbours would descend on our house and get pissed be very loud.

it makes the fact I refer to DD2 as Pippa Dee quite funny, really.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 28/04/2014 14:27

I wish they still did Tupperware parties. I would go to one and spend a fortune.

OP posts:
AnneEyhtMeyer · 28/04/2014 14:28

I remember my mum going to Pippa Dee parties too, which was (as far as I could see) very chaste nighties.

OP posts:
AnneEyhtMeyer · 28/04/2014 14:32

I really hope I'm not going to find out now that the chaste nighties were a cover for S&M or something.

OP posts:
AnneEyhtMeyer · 28/04/2014 14:33

I crossed posts with you and then didn't look back at the thread before posting more. Glad to see Pippa Dee was harmless.

Grin no, it really was a bit rubbishGrin.

Looking back, my mum really embraced being a stereytypical 70's suburban housewife.

Then she discovered bingo, it all went down hill Grin

AnneEyhtMeyer · 28/04/2014 18:57

Oh! Freya is on a party political broadcast for the Green Party on BBC1!
