I used to watch it when it first came out. It is good isn't it. It's based on a real person. I have read her book it's interesting.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/03/2014 21:04

My DH loves this and watches every Sunday on catch-up. ( I think he has a non secret crush on Partricia Wink )

Capitola · 17/03/2014 22:04

I used to love this when it was on, and also had a bit of a crush on Patricia Arquette.

I saw the real Allison DuBois on the REal Housewives and she was completely awful!

Wickeddevil · 17/03/2014 22:08

Yes Frites I do.

And I thought I was alone Grin good to know I have people to come out too.

Its0kToBeMe · 17/03/2014 22:22

I saw that too Capitola Wasn't she awful? She was a panto villian
I couldn't believe it when she said that if the any of the RHBH lost their children that she wouldn't help them! Shock

FriteFuaite · 18/03/2014 16:03

People replied!! I loffs you,I loffs you all Grin Nobody I know watches it so no chance to talk about it irl :(

I never expected it to be as good as it is,sometimes it really shocks me and lemme tell yas,I've been around the block a bit and not much shocks me ! Her husband is great,he gets woken up every night and just gets on with it. I snore just a teeny bit and I get moaned at Grin I love the daughters,I adore Manny Devalos, his voice!!! I also love Det Scanlon but I'm not a fan of her brother. Does she have a cleaner? Her bed is always so nicely made... Grin

I love that she's the main character and is allowed to be non perfect ie she's a bit fat & has wonky teeth, she likes a drink & her house is far from aspirational.

Really fab acting in it by almost everyone. It used to make me cry. A lot.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/03/2014 22:33

Grin I always say to DH "See, Joe gets woken up night after night to listen to Alison and her strange dreams (DH just thinks my dreams are mad) then she says Oh, Joe, can you take the girls to school and he just does it" Hmm

Dh is meh

I used to love Medium - haven't seen it for ages. The only Foxes in this house are the brown ones lurking in the garden.

Jcee · 19/03/2014 21:47

I love this too! Although havent seen it for ages. But seriously how many different pyjamas has she got?

MadamBatShit · 19/03/2014 21:51

It's been ages since I've seen it but I used to love it! Confess to Patricia-crush.. she's fab.

FriteFuaite · 22/03/2014 17:41

The pyjamas!!! I've said that too!! Only to the cat, though, and he wasn't interested Grin

She is wonderful,I think I have a bit of a crush on her,too

I love medium! I watched the whole thing (series 1-7) during my long latent labour with DS (3days Confused) because it would distract me from the pain.

The series just keep getting better which I think is unusual for a tv show and the ending Shock

Wish I could watch it for the first time again. May investigate the book.

Igggi · 02/05/2014 13:15

Joe has been my ideal husband for some time Blush

treaclesoda · 02/05/2014 13:20

I watched every episode of Medium. The last episode was probably the most emotional I have ever been over a TV show, it was very moving.

strongandlong · 02/05/2014 13:33

Oh I loved Medium. I may have cried quite a lot during the final episode Blush

Patricia Arquette is great. So good to have a female-led series that isn't about finding a man or looking good in clothes etc.

I loved medium and Joe is my ideal fictional husband.

My best friend is a dead ringer for Patricia Arquette especially when she was in true romance.

My husband knows that I hold him to the unfeasibley high standards set by Joe Dubois. He is ok with that.
He recently popped up as a cult leader in The Following, no Joe, no! You are a good guy.

It's a consistently fantastic series, right through to the very last episode Shock.

Redglitter · 06/05/2014 18:13

I thought the last episode was dreadful I hated it. Felt like a rushed crappy ending to a great series

AlexReidsLonelyBraincell · 06/05/2014 18:22

Shh spoilers. Grin I wasn't happy with it tbh, it left me feeling pissed off and disgruntled. You prob know why.

Now the ending to Six Feet Under, best piece of television, ever! (IMO)

Igggi · 06/05/2014 18:29

It didn't match what happened to the real life couple did it?

EffectiveCommunication · 06/05/2014 18:36

I used to enjoy watching this, fox you say! Jennifer Lawrence played the young Alison. I also saw the real Alison on the Real housewives, she is not like Patricia at all Sad.

I am looking forward this film Patricia made with Ethan Hawke, they filmed it over a decade apparently.
