Surprised not too see an existing thread. I missed the first two series when they first came out but recently caught up with Hannah and the rest of them on demand. Can't tell you how much I'm enjoying seeing normal, non botoxed people on screen, very refreshing.

Finding it hard to wait for Monday nights nowGrin

I like Girls. I think it has some really good lines, some really good episodes, and it's very different. So I forgive it its flaws.

BigW that's because the actor who plays Charlie left the show suddenly. I think both Lena & Allison have said they wished it could have been different, but he wasn't around to film any sort of break-up scene so it had to happen off-screen.

i think tbh the best characters in girls are 2 men , ray and adam are great.

I like it - especially that no-one is 100% likeable. They can be funny, kind & be good friends but also be a bit selfish or manipulative or whiny sometimes. More real, just like the grotty flats!

Adam, weirdly attractive but feel like theres some chance he could murder you in your sleep? Yes, definitely!

I loved the first series, it was a bit too rude for me, but I loved the dynamic between the 4 girls. I only watched a couple of the second series, it got a bit too much and a bit too dark. I really hated that scene when marnie was trapped in those tv's. Trying with the third but it seems to have lost its spark and its all about Hannah, not the 4 girls anymore, so don't think I'll be watching it for long.

Hannah's OCD meltdown in S2 really got boring after an episode or 2, am glad she's pulled back from that in S3. I'm enjoying the new season - am glad Jessa's back, not sure where the weirdness between Hannah and Marnie is from though - I feel like I must have forgotten something, unless it's still a hangover from Marnie sleeping with HAnnah's gay ex?

I like that the characters aren't particularly likeable, it makes for a more interesting show Smile

I watched it back to back, I thought it was really true to life, the break down I mean. Not sure I'd have liked it so much if it had been spread out over a few weeks.

Hannah naked again tonight. Really getting boring. Apparently this is episode 5 on tonight but this is only the 3rd episode i've seen this season. Have I missed two? The first one I watched was the party that Marnie threw for Hannah for her 25th. Was that not the first?

I watched the first two seasons without great enthusiasm and gave up after watching the first of the third.
I find it so self- indulgent.

They are just too annoying regardless of their age. Shoshanna in particular is just awful.
The neurotic quirky thing is so cliché.

I think Lena Dunham is a victim of her own hype. And no, I don't want to see her naked all the time.
Topless clubbing? Naked ping pong playing? No.

I'm watching! I love Girls. It's just so ridiculous whilst at the same time being very real. I loved the conversation Adam & Hannah had in ep1 about him not wanting her friends to come over. I swear my DH & I have had that exact talk!
I'm not a fan of Caroline - I don't like disruption for disruptions sake, but mostly it's still hitting the mark for me. The last episode of S2 had me in tears, just so awesome Smile

I agree to an extent its interesting in a show about girls the thing that saves it is 2 male characters.

I'm also watching! Trying to get DH into it as well. I just think it's so acutely observed, esp Hannah's narcissistic tendencies. Adam I also find has evolved greatly since first series and I really like both him & Ray. Finding hard to warm to Jessa & Marnie though.
