Doctors Addicts Anonymous Continued - February Frolics or WALOC?

MsNobodyAgain · 27/01/2014 13:50

This is a thread for all fans of the daytime soap 'Doctors', BBC1, 1.45pm. It generally brings us lots of WTF; lately it's been more WALOC (what a load of crap). But we love it!

We are nearly into February, Valentines Day is looming, Interflora are already hiring extra staff to deal with the flower orders coming my way Hmm. So come on Gobby and Gobbyplod, it's time you were back together.

Enough with the memory loss. Think of this:
"You're the cream in my coffee
You're the salt in my stew
You will always be my necessity
I'd be lost without you"

Karen, it's time to let the sausage see the roll...

Everyone is welcome, especially newbies. Regulars please sign in. Lurkers...errrr, carry on lurking

Grin

I don't want her to go off on mat leave again.

toldmywrath · 27/01/2014 15:34

Cracking new thread MsNo -let the sausage see the roll indeed! arf Grin

AnneEyhtMeyer · 27/01/2014 15:50

You're a smutty lot!

Raahh · 27/01/2014 16:26

Check this out

leezl · 27/01/2014 16:47

Checking in!

leezl · 27/01/2014 16:49

I've had the Dogtanian theme in my head for two full weeks since the Musketeers started on BBC1 Grin DH is thoroughly fed up of it.

madhairday · 27/01/2014 16:51

Signing in -waloc indeed Grin

Lol at the smut, Raahh - on that note, that Dartagnan, he is hot he is, or so my 13 yr old dd says I couldn't possibly comment and I don't mean Dogtanian

I'm bored of Hermione, she irritates and vexes me more than Valerie, somehow.

Now, Beeb, is it going to be a Valentine's Day reunion for the Gobbyplods then? I think Karen has to get drunk again, get run over and Bam, she's back.

madhairday · 27/01/2014 16:54

One for all and all for ONe
Muske-Hounds are always ready...

(I still don't know all the words of that, there was one part that went 'one for all and all for one, kids are pretty corny' though it can't have been surely???) Grin

MsNobodyAgain · 27/01/2014 17:22

mad I got told off by my DD last night for saying I'd like to kiss Ashley Banjo. She said she was going to leave the room if I continued to say things like that.

Grin Very funny.

I'd better not tell her what my plans for Kevin are then... Wink

I cannot believe I clicked the SMUT link. I will never learn.

tilliebob · 27/01/2014 18:01

Just in from work and watching now. Lots of people I want to slap in this episode so far haven't even seen Al yet

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 27/01/2014 18:29

One day Anne you won't click one of those links. Only clicking one of of two is an improvement though. leezl a friend of mine at work was absent-mindedly singing along to herself the other day when I realised she was singing to the tune of it. I'm not sure they are going to thank me.

Need to find the motivation to catch up. Thursday's was so bad it's put me off slightly. Must give myself a slap.

MsNobodyAgain · 27/01/2014 18:55

It has taken me a good while to even warm slightly to Al tilliebob. Let's play "what are your top 3 Doctors characters?"

  1. Mrs T - love her rolling rrrrrrrrrr's, her wigs and tabard.
  2. Kev - purely for eye candy purposes.
  3. Heston - because he can seem all sweetness and light until you give him a cricket bat. And he played the Marina story line so well.

Barry also has a special place in my heart Smile

OP posts:
tilliebob · 27/01/2014 18:59

Ach can they all have left now?

Currently I suppose

  1. Jimmi - who doesn't love a bit of OCD
  2. Heston - he's such a prig you have to laugh (and I did feel sorry for him during the whole Marina thang)
  3. Mrs T - I still hear the Tikkabilla theme tune whenever I spy her
MsNobodyAgain · 27/01/2014 19:10

Jimmi! Well, each to their own Grin

Most people don't like Kev. I blame the car they make him drive.

OP posts:
madhairday · 27/01/2014 19:15

Mine are

  1. Gobby - sorry but you got to love her, even in 1980s guise
  2. Zara - she kicks ass
  3. Mrs T, she rocks in general.

Bottom three

  1. Mardy Chris
  2. 6tl
  3. Valerie
tilliebob · 27/01/2014 19:18

I just want to crayon some new eyebrows on Zara whenever I see her Grin

AnneEyhtMeyer · 27/01/2014 19:22

Top 3? That's tricky.

  1. Barry
  2. Mrs T
  3. TBFE
  4. Zara
  5. Gobby
  6. Al
  7. Heston
toldmywrath · 27/01/2014 19:32

I would say that today's top three are:
Gobby plod -but I'd rather he had lips

Zara

The worm that appeared in the centre of a shot a few years ago (does anyone else remember that?)

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 27/01/2014 19:44

Just watched - WALOC!

In order:

Gobby - still love her despite personality transplant
Gobbyplod - he's lovely
Zara - kicks ass, agree on that
Al - says it how it is, couldn't give a shit
Daniel - good double act with Zara, not much cop in his own right, although easy on the eye
Mrs T - can be great, can be bloody annoying
Heston - meh
Jimmi - meh
TBFE - irritating and up his own arse (sorry Anne)
Barry - ditto
FOD - dull and worthy
Chris - boring do-gooder
6TL - self absorbed and shallow
Val - bloody annoying, no redeeming features whatsoever

MsNobodyAgain · 27/01/2014 20:05

I want to hear more about the worm...

OP posts:
AnneEyhtMeyer · 27/01/2014 20:30

I think I'm more upset that you don't like Barry, WhoKnows.

tilliebob · 27/01/2014 20:53

whispers

I don't like Barry either

runs away and hides

AnneEyhtMeyer · 27/01/2014 20:56

To be fair, Tillie, if you rank Jimmi as number 1 then I'm afraid we'll never see eye-to-eye. Grin

toldmywrath · 27/01/2014 20:58

Now, the worm was in the middle of the road & it was in sharp close up right at the end of one particular episode (2-3years ago?) It wasn't harmed. I re ran the Iplayer of it a few times because it was interesting...
