Doctors Addicts Anonymous Continued - February Frolics or WALOC?

MsNobodyAgain · 27/01/2014 13:50

This is a thread for all fans of the daytime soap 'Doctors', BBC1, 1.45pm. It generally brings us lots of WTF; lately it's been more WALOC (what a load of crap). But we love it!

We are nearly into February, Valentines Day is looming, Interflora are already hiring extra staff to deal with the flower orders coming my way Hmm. So come on Gobby and Gobbyplod, it's time you were back together.

Enough with the memory loss. Think of this:
"You're the cream in my coffee
You're the salt in my stew
You will always be my necessity
I'd be lost without you"

Karen, it's time to let the sausage see the roll...

Everyone is welcome, especially newbies. Regulars please sign in. Lurkers...errrr, carry on lurking

Hi Ood!

I have loads to do but couldn't resist watching live.

The girl isn't a very good actress.

HoggyTruffle · 06/02/2014 13:57

And now I know how to get out of a limousine gracefully. Confused

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 06/02/2014 13:59

Live here too but too bored to comment. Feel sorry for pregnant girl.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 06/02/2014 13:59

Is the gourmet gaff round the corner the Icon?

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 06/02/2014 14:00

Do you think Val's hair is a wig?

HoggyTruffle · 06/02/2014 14:01

I think Val is half Barbie, hence the hair.

Oodlesofoodles · 06/02/2014 14:08

Al is taking a long time with this appt compared to everything else going in

AnneEyhtMeyer · 06/02/2014 14:10

Bloody hell, just noticed Gobby's hotpants! Shock

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 06/02/2014 14:12

Al's on good form today. That last request's a bit much though.

Hotpants Shock

AnneEyhtMeyer · 06/02/2014 14:13

You would think if they were getting someone in for several episodes they would have picked someone who can act. That girl is dreadful.

HoggyTruffle · 06/02/2014 14:14

I still don't understand why Gobby acts like a lovestruck teenager just because she lost her memory. I might buy myself some hotpants (not).

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 06/02/2014 14:15

Anne - come on. This is Doctors. Since when was good acting a pre- requisite? Socialite was awful too.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 06/02/2014 14:19

I know, sorry. I forgot myself there. Blush

Oodlesofoodles · 06/02/2014 14:34

Val is on WPC wotsit

AnneEyhtMeyer · 06/02/2014 15:04

Was she? Did she have Disney hair?

I was busy tidying the playroom. It was a bombsite, especially after I shoved everything to one side to make the shelves yesterday. It now looks great - everything is tidy, put away, and sorted. I expect by DD's bedtime it will be back to bombsite again.

MsNobodyAgain · 06/02/2014 15:04

I am sooooo behind with Doctors and everything Sad. I have barely been near a computer never mind a tv. I will be glad when my mothers kitchen is done and she isn't calling round to mine all the time

Opticians with DD later, then bath night. Nooooo!

I WILL catch up. [determined face]

Just watching now, nice to see Al being sympathetic for once. Poor girl Sad

curlyclaz13 · 06/02/2014 15:35

Arf at gobby going to the seminar. I guess the woman has a history she isn't proud of !

curlyclaz13 · 06/02/2014 15:38

Val needs a slap !

curlyclaz13 · 06/02/2014 15:51

Looks like Al might overstep the mark going with her.
Another kidnap story Shock yawn.

cinnamongreyhound · 06/02/2014 17:21

I am watching now, was at safeguarding training for governors.

cinnamongreyhound · 06/02/2014 17:46

Trying to persuade Dh to go HoggyTruffle, as he really needs them but he's too vain to wear them so won't go the opticians. He threw his last prescription away before he got home but it's too hard to hide now!!

I've really had enough of Val!!!! Why is she crying, it's a job and she knew it was temporary!

Has Al had a personality transplant? Why is all of a sudden kind and caring?!? Is it really ok for him to arrange an abortion without her parents knowing, must be an awful thing to have to do alone!

Obviously we don't know the real story of the background but that bloke and his daughter were pretty out of order!

And what is Gobby wearing? That top is awful and combined with the cardy it's really awful!

toldmywrath · 06/02/2014 21:17

Hooray- I've caught up with all this weeks episodes. Yes, weren't Jimmi's windows dirty-I noticed that, too. No way would ocd man put up with that!
Arf at Gobbyplod doll with a shiny truncheon (or was it helmet?) Grin
I thought Zara looked pregnant in one of the episodes-she was leaning up by the reception desk talking to Daniel.
Nooo Al-you would not give a patient money to get to an appt for arranging a termination (& you certainly wouldn't accompany that patient-smacks of coercion)

Raahh · 07/02/2014 13:24

I am going to end up 3 episodes behind soon.

I'm lookng forward to the Winter Olympics- pity Mrs T hasn't joined the curling team or something. Or she could have done a Bolero routine with Heston.

I have been reminiscing watching Torvill and Dean vids (yes, i'm quite sad). My favourite was never Bolero, but the a short programme they did at the end of competition gala. it was an extension of a small part of their mack and mabel routine. 'I won't send roses'. it was simple, and lovely and the chemistry between them was amazing.

(Promise it's not Dogtanian, Anne)

Raahh · 07/02/2014 13:25

(the music still makes me want to cry)
