Celebrity Big Brother: Thread 8 - Are there any depravities we haven't witnessed?

Can we take any more? Will we make it to the end? The beginning seems so long ago. Anyone remember anything Lionel said in the house apart from "Suck my dick"?

I thought about cancelling the eye-bleach order after Lee went, but I see we still need it with Dappy in the house. Send for the tankers!

Urgh they're back.

Sparklingbrook · 29/01/2014 12:25

that was a bit disappointing.

WestieMamma · 29/01/2014 12:26

He still doesn't get it/care.

LiberalLibertine · 29/01/2014 12:27

Yeah it was, didn't get a very hard time did he?

Can't believe he's getting death threats though?! There's some loons out there.

WestieMamma · 29/01/2014 12:30

So in the world according to Lee if you're single you can do what you like, trample over the feelings of others and that's fine as it's not like you've murdered someone.

Sparklingbrook · 29/01/2014 12:34

Or harmed 'kittens and small dogs' Westie. Sad

Piscivorus · 29/01/2014 12:38

Please don't think I'm being confrontational here and purely for the purposes of discussion...

He is a single, not very bright man who was put in a very intense situation (everyone seems to agree that being in the house messes with your head) caught between one woman he fancied and one who fancied him and was there. His behaviour was weak and he behaved badly and has a responsibility for that.

Casey seems to be a sweet girl who fell for the wrong guy (we've all done it as someone said upthread) and I do feel sorry for her but she was pushing him into the physical contact, etc. Would we all be so accepting of her responsibility and so scathing of Lee if the sexes were the other way round? If she were a man pressing him into cuddles?

As the mother of a son I worry that instead of stamping out sexism against women we are almost accepting it against men too, if that makes sense

limitedperiodonly · 29/01/2014 12:40

If any presenter gave him what he deserved he'd immediately claim that they'd stoked the twitter death threats and the presenter would be crucified.

I'm quite sure he has had death threats. How credible they are, and how scared he is, as opposed to being angry at criticism, I don't know.

MaryMungoAndMidgies · 29/01/2014 12:40

Lovely commentary! Did Holly sap out then? Sounds like the same old Lee. Not sorry at all.

I wonder how well he'll cop on with the opposite sex now? I can hear a few gazillion 'no thanks' firing his way.

The shitemongers always fall on their feet though, bound to be someone out there who'll risk it.

Sparklingbrook · 29/01/2014 12:43

I think they are good points Pisci. For me the fact he is a father of two and making an arse of himself that his DC will eventually watch. Sad

YY to Casey being as 'not very bright' as he is. She should have avoided him as soon as he started with Jasmine IMO.

limitedperiodonly · 29/01/2014 12:43

But Piscivorus even Dappy and Keith Lemon, who don't strike me as feminists, said he was wrong to do it.

Sparklingbrook · 29/01/2014 12:44

For me the fact he is a father of two and making an arse of himself that his DC will eventually watch is the worst bit.

noddyholder · 29/01/2014 12:47

He is a liar everything else is immature relationship stuff

limitedperiodonly · 29/01/2014 12:50

It might even be that Dappy and Keith don't think it's particularly wrong to take advantage of someone like Casey but realise that if you do you can't whine about it when you can't shake the person off and you look like a user.

MaryMungoAndMidgies · 29/01/2014 12:50

Fair point Pisci she did come on to him equally as hard.

I can't obviously say how I'd behave in that situation, it's like a pressure cooker. I'd like to think I'd retain my moral fibre and have the decency to sleep elsewhere as opposed to sharing and making a bad situation worse.

If I behaved like that, watched it back and realised what an arse I'd been? I'd be apologising to those who deserved it and grovelling to my mum and dad for forgiveness

Piscivorus · 29/01/2014 12:53

I agree Sparkling and feel the same about Luisa and Dappy. These are all adults and parents acting like teenagers. Their children may all be mortified at some point (although mine are frequently mortified for far less Grin)

limited I'm not suggesting that he was not wrong, just that we may be perceiving him more harshly than if the roles were reversed

Piscivorus · 29/01/2014 12:57

Like I said, please don't think I'm being aggravating about this. I just find it thought provoking and interesting to hear others opinions on

MaryMungoAndMidgies · 29/01/2014 13:02

I couldn't ever go in a BB house anyway Pisci! I moan and whinge about getting a photograph taken. Perhaps the (was it?) Victorians were right.

It steal a little bit of your soul! Grin

MaryMungoAndMidgies · 29/01/2014 13:03

Aaaaaaaaarse. does does does Blush

AnneEyhtMeyer · 29/01/2014 13:40

Aaagghhh! Was seeing a friend and missed it! That is the last time I let real life interfere with my CBB obsession!

Is it on ITV player?

OP posts:
Sparklingbrook · 29/01/2014 13:41

I think on the whole if you are a parent it's probably best to avoid appearing on CBB at all costs.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 29/01/2014 14:04

I'm really tired today, I hope I can stay awake for tonight. The main show is 2 hours tonight, then another hour for BOTS. I could do with a nap!

SpanishFly · 29/01/2014 14:08

I always find the final a bit rubbish. The interviews are always crap, and in a lot of ways I never actually care who wins - it's the journey I enjoy watching.

SpanishFly · 29/01/2014 14:09

sorry that wasn't meant to sound quite so miserable Grin

AnneEyhtMeyer · 29/01/2014 14:12

Oh Spanish, it is as though you've read my new thread opening post! It has been a journey, and who wins is now immaterial.
