Anybody watched Amber on RTE?

Any MNetters watch Amber on RTE over the past few days? Worth watching? I've recorded it.

Are you sure you want to invest four hours of your life in to it? If you separate the show from the ending it was good if that makes sense.

I do like David Murray, his voice! omg. he's so smooth he's ridiculous, but he is not a nice character in this. Smug, patronising, thinks he knows better than the gardai, looks at porn, takes a prostitute home and lets his son see her.

So not recommended then

I didn't watch it but know a fair few people who did. They seemed to enjoy it but the general consensus appeared to be that the ending was...eh...unsatisfactory.

Yeh, apparentlyit was supposed to give you that lack of closure, no neat ending etc... to give people an inkling of what the parents of children go through with no answers, but people have enough real life in real life, they should have given viewers somethingvfor their four hours! Iit provoked a strong reaction though, frustration!

Id rather have my four hours back!

I watched it. I hated the ending but I suppose that's what happens , sadly, in missing persons cases - there is no closure.
How did the guy in prison know what was written on Amber's wall?
The PA wasn't very good. Giving a random phone to her ?grandchild? which she found in the office of a missing child's support team. I suppose to show us how random things impact on a search.
Why could they not get more info from Amber's computer?

Also, can you imagine the department of foreign affairs being so efficient as to deport an illegal immigrant on the day they find him.
