I didn't mean to but it was on after Big Brother. Anyone else?

McPheezingMyButtOff · 07/01/2014 22:24

No

But now you've made me turn over Blush

Lighthousekeeping · 07/01/2014 22:30

I can't switch over. I don't know what to think.

LottieAndTheDinosaur · 07/01/2014 22:32

I'm watching it too as don't seem to be able to move from the sofa after BB!

I don't like the way they keep showing the photo of his dead body though Sad

McPheezingMyButtOff · 07/01/2014 22:33

I think he was a damaged man, in constant crisis. Who sadly met his maker through misadventure.

Lighthousekeeping · 07/01/2014 22:33

Who is this hot professor?

OP posts:
McPheezingMyButtOff · 07/01/2014 22:34

Yeah, that's kind of unnecessary Lottie

Lighthousekeeping · 07/01/2014 22:43

Bloody hell the drugs are unbelievable.

OP posts:
LottieAndTheDinosaur · 07/01/2014 22:47

I know - blimey he just kept giving him drug after drug.

Agreed the prof is rather dishy!

LaVitaBellissima · 07/01/2014 22:47

Me too, just left the tv on after CBB, isn't it sad.

The section about being bald after receiving 2nd degree burns from a Pepsi commercial, about rigging failing at a concert in Germany and falling 50 feet, pretty unlucky :(

I can't believe how ill he was.

Lighthousekeeping · 07/01/2014 22:48

Why didn't they do an intervention?

OP posts:
McPheezingMyButtOff · 07/01/2014 22:57

Because he was The 'King' of pop. Mr untouchable, and no one dared.

LottieAndTheDinosaur · 07/01/2014 23:01

Very sad Sad

MyMILisfromHELL · 07/01/2014 23:03

This all comes out when he's dead? What's the name of that diesease he had, that make his skin lose it's pigmentation.

I had no idea he was bald or had a bad back as a result of an accident. So sad.

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 07/01/2014 23:06

I ended up unintentionally watching after BB too.

I expect they didn't do an intervention because he was paying for his "care" and paying well (god knows how with all that debt but slebs always seem to find a way!)

Had he been in the UK, receiving NHS care, he would probably have been "cared" for in a more helpful way (I hope).

He did have multiple health issues though didn't he? Very sad in any case.

Whitney Houston next week which I may now have to watch.

GobbySadcase · 07/01/2014 23:08

Is the pic bad? May look on catch up but not sure I can cope with that kind of visual...

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 07/01/2014 23:09

Actually, I do have a question about that MyMIL. None of this was public knowledge during MJ's lifetime because he obviously wished to keep his personal medical information private - as is everyone's right.

Who decides that medical confidentiality no longer applies after the death of a person? Or is it different in a case where the facts have been reported in Court?

Genuine question if anyone knows the answer.

Mamuss · 07/01/2014 23:11

As insightful as it was I do feel he should have been left to rest in peace Hmm

GeorgianMumto5 · 07/01/2014 23:13

MyMil, it's vitiligo. Did he also have lupus SLE? I'm not watching, because I have lupus and am not a fan of related worst-case scenarios, but I am curious.

stickysausages · 07/01/2014 23:21

Yes, they said lupus too. But he did bleach his skin for twenty years they said.

Shocked by the drugs he took, bloody hell.

He was $400 million in debt, so nobody stopped him - he was a cash cow I guess.

I'm not a fan, can't get past the allegations made during his lifetime…

However I do feel more sympathetic now, I had no idea how I'll he was (the burns, the arthritis etc)

mrscynical · 08/01/2014 07:37

I can't believe that he took his children along to the dodgy docs surgery where he was injected with 'medical' heroin and was then in a stupor in front of them.

Disgraceful for all who was party to this especially Jackson himself.

My sympathy is entirely for those kids who will probably have problems for the rest of their lives.

Vajazzler · 08/01/2014 07:49

I too watched this last night and had several questions.
How does a person manage to get $400million in debt?
How can a doctor prescribe all those drugs without thinking hmm maybe I shouldn't be doing this? I know he was the king of pop etc but aren't there some sort of regulations to stop this? I mean really, who injects a patient with medical heroin when he has his children with him???
And how on earth can all those anasthetic drugs be used in a patients home without any kind of monitoring machines?

It's such a shame that no stood up to him 20 odd years ago and said enoughs enough you need serious help. He was a genius in his field and his decline into a drug addled nothing was a tragedy.

mrsjay · 08/01/2014 09:04

I watched it thought it was the grimest thing i have ever seen this man was a drug addict most of his adult life took his kids for his drug top up that a doctor was giving him because he could pay for it, then they had a dr look after him he was basicallyhis personally drug dealer shocking programme and how can anybody be 400(cant even do the others 0s)million in debt just how. shameful way for somebody to live those poor kids

mrsjay · 08/01/2014 09:06

Who decides that medical confidentiality no longer applies after the death of a person? Or is it different in a case where the facts have been reported in Court?

I think in the US these sort of records are public so anybody can get a copy of the coreners (sp) report I maybe wrong

pigletmania · 08/01/2014 11:44

So very sad, he had a range of illnesses tat the public ever knew about. Why that Dr kept pumping him with endless drugs. Did he not think what he consequences could be, surely he would know that with those ocktail of drugs in hs body, the milk of magnesium could be fatal, just say no more michael you could die. Really sad thing, his kids were in the house and I honk saw the whole thing Sad

mrsjay · 08/01/2014 17:10

I think honestly that the doctor thought he was doing the right thing twisted i know but he was being paid to take care of MJ so that is what he thought he was doing his ethics were all wrong it is just so sad that these stars can pay for these drugs and doctors and the doctors just take the money
